"The would recommend that you have detailed information and drawings of what you want your project to look like. During my project many conflicts and questions arose over how they performed the preparation, framing, and type of concrete used. This project was to replaced the old concrete do to water standing which in winter would freeze at the bottom step. The new concrete has the same problem of small area of standing water after a rain."

"J&R Chavez Landscaping, LLC did an incredible job repairing the grouting and sealing a large natural flagstone patio at our home. It was in very poor condition and when his team left it looked better than new! His team was also able to repair and rebuild the interior supports under the floor of the patio. The workmen were excellent, came on time and worked over three days 8-5 every day. They were courteous and highly skilled in stone work. The price was very reasonable as well."

"This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor. They were on site the date promised, and worked diligently every day until the job was complete. John Morgado - Director of Ops was on site every day and was very attentive to the changes we made along the way. We couldn't be more happy with the final product. Thanks to all of the people that were involved at FIH to make this happen..."

"Hannick Construction installed a stone fire pit and patio at my home in Sept 2019. The quality, competitive price and timely installation was superior. Kris helped to design the specific patio and arranged everything from the beginning with follow up visits to make sure we were completely satisfied with the finished product. Everyone loves our new patio and I would like to thank Hannick Construction for a job well done! Great customer service!"

"We were looking into redoing our old deck and got a quote which we thought was reasonable for our large deck. Then for another estimate, we called 7th State Builders. They explained that for the same cost, we could get a paver stone patio (which in the long run is far less maintenance). The owner worked with our budget and the gentlemen who laid our pavers were extremely professional and worked within our wishes. They removed the deck and finished the patio in about a week. Awesome job! After a week or so, it had rain for a period of time and we noticed that a small dip in the patio was collecting a puddle. After a call, they came out and fixed the problem. We would definitely recommend this company for a patio."

"We recently completed a beautiful hardscape/landscape project with NOVA Landscape Construction near Leesburg, VA. Not only was the final result everything we asked for, but the owner (Tony) and his team made the entire process simple and clear. After discussing the design and committing to a schedule, Tony coordinated the drop off of all materials, making proactive corrections when needed prior to the start of the project. Each day, his teams put in a full day's work, and Tony himself was there either working alongside them or stopping by to make sure everything was going smoothly. The project was completed on time, in budget, and exceeding all specifications. Finally, they left the areas surrounding the project/work zones in great shape, seeding and fertilizing all impacted grassy areas and powerwashing our driveway. We love our new fire pit, lighting, and patios!"

"The Homeowners Associations for my rental townhouse told me I needed to get my concrete steps replaced. All Ready Finished had done a good job on the next door neighbor's steps a year or so earlier, so I sent them an email on 8 Jul 2016, asking them for an estimate. On 11 Jul they sent an email, saying that they would take a look at the steps and asked for a day and time that worked for me. I responded back with some suggested times. On 25 Jul, I still hadn't heard back, so I emailed again, asking if they were still interested. On 27 Jul, a project manager contacted me by email. We exchanged a few emails and phone messages, trying to coordinate a meeting time until on 30 Jul, he called and said he could just stop by the townhouse on his own to measure and work up estimates. on 3 Aug I received a PDF proposal via email to replace the stoop, replace 6 steps and reset the handrails for $2980. I said that I'd accept the proposal. On 4 Aug All Ready Finished sent me an email with a link to DocuSign, where I digitally signed the contract. DocuSign sent me a PDF copy of the signed document. As directed by the contract, I mailed a check for 1/3 payment as a deposit. Sometime around 14/15 August, a representative of All Ready Finished phoned me and told me that work would start on 18 August, and told to tape a check for the next 1/3 payment on the door. On 19 August, my tenant phoned me to say that the work was done, and that All Ready Finished was waiting for the final check. I drove over with the check, and met the owner, who reviewed the work with me and pointed out a spot in the railing that needed welding."

"I've used Sharper Cut to develop the gardens in front of the house, terrace the front garden for a level field for the trees, bushes, plants and water fountain, and build out the back garden to include and expanded patio and fishpond with waterfall. Their work is superior...and helps give the house a more inviting exterior view to family and guests. I'd recommend them for any project great or small...and they can tailor the project for future growth based on your budget! The winter refresh and clean up went exceptionally well...as their work always provides!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Broomes-island, MD

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
