"Richard brought a friend to help with the work. They arrived at the time promised each day and worked diligently until they got the job done. Repairs included screwing down loose boards, repairing flower boxes and caps, and replacing a small section of siding. Excellent work. They even stained the skirting around the deck, which was over and above our original agreement. Price was good considering the quality of work and the extra work performed. <br /> One reason we chose to use Richard was because he was able to repair the lintel over our garage door without replacing all the trim boards. Other handymen had told us that the trim on the sides would have to be replaced in addition to the piece across the top. Richard was able to repair just the parts that were rotten. He also caulked the siding above the door to prevent future damage. <br /> Richard is very busy, so I did have to call him a couple times to get our job scheduled. Other than that, the job went extremely well. <br />"

The result was a dramatic improvement. <br /> The wood at the bottom of the threshold on the back door had come loose so Billy removed the wood scraped it clean then reattached and caulked it in properly then repainted the entire door frame. "I had steel front entry door that faced the morning sunlight.  As a result of this, along with paint color, the door (and sidelights) absorbed a lot of heat and underwent a lot of expansion and contraction.  This expansion eventually led to the sidelight trim to bust causing a drafty entryway and moisture intrusion. Also, probably as a result of the house settling after construction, both the entry door and and storm door were not square and didn't shut and latch properly. I went to the showroom and informed Mr. Pittner of my problems and he suggested the type of door I should get installed which I agreed to.  Mr. Pittner called before coming out to perform the removal and installation and they arrived on time.  They made two trips out to the house, the first to install entry door then later to install the storm door after I painted the entry door (I wanted to save a little bit so I did the paint myself)  They performed the work quickly and quietly (as quiet as you can for a construction job!) and were even open to any questions I asked during the process.  They were thorough in their clean up as well.  I am very happy with the installation and am no longer embarrassed by my front door.  I would definitely recommend this Pittner Services and if I ever have a similar job (windows, doors, etc.) they will be the first I would call. <br /> My only "complaint" would be the timing of installation.  I got the initial quote towards the end of May, installation of the entry door occurred in mid July, and completion of the project with the storm door in  mid September. When we were determining a day to come out I was put on the schedule as ASAP, meaning that the installation shouldn't take long and they would fit me in between bigger jobs.   I can't really complain much because I wasn't in a hurry to get the job completed and if I wanted it done sooner I would have requested a firm date, so some of the "blame" could have been put on me.  Weather also played a role, we ended up having a wet June so that pushed a number of jobs back.  Another reason I can't complain much is they when they did come out in July, it was after a nice cold front pushed through which knocked the temps down near 80 degrees, so I saved in not having to run the AC while they had the front entry way wide open during installation.  Finally, when they made the second trip out to install the storm door they took a look at and repaired a closing and latching problem I was having with my back patio door (installed by a Lowes installer a couple years earlier, had simliar thermal expansion and moisture problem) at no extra cost!  I wish I had Pittner for that job.   I can look at time issue in a positive light however, if it took this long to come out to complete the job due to other projects going on, then there are other people that see that they perform quality work. <br />"

"It went GREAT. They replaced a side door of on our garage. Repaired the caulking around our gutters. it took them about a week to get done with everything we needed but they did a fantastic job. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE BEST WE HAVE HAD YET!!"

"Cantrell Contracting LLC <br /> The company preformed a variety of task in accomplishing our renovation/repair. There were leaks in the lower level of our home. Correcting this problem required both interior and exterior work, including removing trim from interior windows, removing three sets of triple casement windows. These are very heavy double pane, wood windows with aluminum clad outside. Four men were required to accomplish this task safely.    <br /> The windows were not installed properly originally and required carpentry work to re-frame and square windows. The windows now operate properly!  We had not been able to open some of these windows for years. <br />  Drywall replacement and refinishing was also required as well as trim replacement. <br /> Problems with the leaks around the windows required exterior work as well. The outer wall was removed down to the studs to check for damage. Inferior work was also found here. Sheathing was removed and replaced. <br />  Wall was sealed with ty-vek.  Windows on upper level and double doors on lower level were sealed. New lintels were placed above the lower doors for more support. Finally the outer wall was replaced. <br /> Work was done in a timely manner. <br /> Workmen were polite and answered all of my questions.  They did a good job of protecting our deck and cleaning up work site when finished."
