"Flintstone Hardscapes LLC removed an old rotten deck and framed and built a beautiful concrete patio in my back yard. The space was small and they had to remove part of a fence to get access. They were wonderful and even replaced the fence overnight so my dog could not run off. I highly suggest you give them a call at 503.837.9294 to get a quote for your next project."

"They didn't use real stone and undercounted the number of pillars that needed work and resorted to wide gaps to stretch the insufficient material to complete the job. The resulting work is serviceable but mediocre."

"NW Builders & Renovation inc and Eric, the project manager, did a great job explaining all the roofing materials and steps to us. They were able to pull in the installation date and complete all the roofing work in four days, just before the big rain arrived."

"Travis and Dallas did an excellent job putting in work in my yard! It hadn't been touched in ages. They came in, did their work in no time at all and left me completely satisfied! I've gotten multiple complements from my neighbors on how amazing my yard looks now. I'll definitely be calling these guys back on a regular basis to maintain and upkeep my yard!"

"I reached out on a Monday and they called me back within a couple hours, I then called them back near 5pm on Monday and they fit me in the next morning to look at a roof leak. They showed up, figured out was the problem was and fixed it the same morning. Also pointed out a clogged gutter and took care of that (no extra charge) and saw the roof on one of my sheds was looking bad and fixed that up in 10-15 mins (no charge either). They were a pleasure to work with and talk to, very open and honest with their assessment. I highly recommend checking them out if you are having roof issues. I did not have any other outfits give me a quote so I can't comment on their prices but I felt they were fair."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Brownsville, OR

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
