"BE SURE TO READ ADDENDUM BELOW! I have a little bit of handyman knowledge when it comes to plumbing. However...... The tech came and saw that I have done about half the work already. I located and exposed the water main leak. He charged me more than half and I still had to refill my hole. He said normal price was $785, charged me $425. I still hired him since our house was waterless with a substantial break located in very close proximity to high voltage power lines. I didn t want any liability/accidental death if I was fiddling with it near any other utilities. His work was very PROFESSIONAL and had good KNOWLEDGE about my break. But just how overpriced it was, I feel I was taken advantage of. He offered to do the backfill for an additional $75. I declined for obvious reasons. Addendum: The next day after the work was done. Ernie's Plumbing called me asking for my input about this very review. The gentleman did agree that the price wasn't exactly on par with how much work was really done by the technician. They gladly credited my credit card to lower the amount to $350. Easily earned 5 stars right there! Very fair price for me doing half the job. I'll be remembering Ernie's plumbing for future jobs that are a bit outside my knowledge and liability umbrella."
