"Professional. Friendly. Knowledgeable. Patient. Goes beyond. Out of the three estimates I was given, this was the only company that offered me more than just pop-out and pop-in new windows. They actually looked at what I had and envisioned an affordable, more aesthetically-pleasing look for my little house. I have never been excited over windows before, nor realized how a change in the layout can affect its appearance. I definitely recommend them. I only gave them a 4.5 for work quality, because one of the windows were mis-measured and had to be reordered. Otherwise 5s all the way!"

"On almost every occasion in which I have had to hire a Contractor, we have run into one issue or another, from small things, to large problems. Matt & Steve were the most professional team we have ever dealt with. If they were running behind, they called us to let us know. They draped the floor of our home with drop cloths and kept any dirt and dust to a minimum. At the end of each day, they swept and vacuumed the area they were working in and cleaned the outside work area. The placement of the window was harrowing, however, they handled it like the pros they are. The window quality itself turned out to be a much more exceptional value and quality than we anticipated. The finish work was exceptional. The window (a large bay) looks like a natural part of our home, from the trim work to the beautiful shingles added to the outside. Everything they did was above & beyond our expectations."

"went perfect - came day after I called and refused to bill me.  We have used them for many projects over the years from plumbing work, electrical, painting, installing hardwood floors, remodeling bathrooms, tiling - no job too big or too small - have probably spent over $ 20,000 with them as we bought an older home to fix up and they did most all the work.  Several things we really like re that when they finish for the day, they really clean up even if they are continuing the same work the next day.  Also, if they don't have the skill set or equipment for a job, they don't try to fake I but will give you several good references to choose from. <br />"

"Excellent!, we had a list of 7 small tasks. Robert was all business and very professional. He solved several problems that had us puzzled. One issue, a sticking back door, we had a previous (unsatisfactory) handyman look at. He said to fix it the door would need to be removed, a lot of time consuming work. We didn’t have him tackle such a big project. After carefully evaluating problem Robert fixed it in minutes with 3-4 nails. I will be calling him again as needed and feel comfortable giving him an excellent review!!"

"<p>Our insurance company required that we install the handrails -- not the easiest of tasks from our home in Connecticut. We also wanted gutters gutters installed to help correct a drainage issue. Since we were new to the area, we asked our real estate agent; she recommended KC's Improvement -- so we gave them a call. </p> Their estimator (Richard Hodges) returned our call promptly. I explained what we needed, and he arranged to inspect the property. He contacted us a few days later with a plan, a budget, and a tentative start date. <br /> The job required two crews -- one for the railings and another for the gutter work. Both were completely professional, arriving promptly and working steadily. Our contact person at the worksite had scheduling issues, and KC's crews worked with us to schedule the work around our needs. <br /> The material for the railings was dropped off the day before the work began. When the work was completed, KC's crew returned to clean up the scraps and remove them. Richard came back when the job was done to inspect the work. Our contact person signed off on the work, and we mailed our check. <br /> The critical factor in this job is that we were new to the area and had no experience with local contractors. We needed the work done quickly, and we were 800 miles away. Our contacts with KC's Improvement (Richard Hodges, estimator) were limited to the phone and e-mail. They made a potentially stressful experience easy. <br /> Would we hire them again? Absolutely."
