He figured out an ingenious way to hoist the heavy door to the second floor, and very skillfully and quickly adjusted the frame to fit the door, and affixed the heavy-duty hinges. And for the first-floor door, he figured out a way to repair the existing frame (rather than replace it), thereby saving me hundreds of dollars. All the work was done to a very high standard by a skilled professional who worked quickly and efficiently. And the price-tag for all this was remarkably low -- only a third the price I'd been quoted by another local handyman firm. "We highly recommend JA Drywall. They are the best contractors we have used in the South Jersey area! We used them for a large job to frame, drywall, spackle and trim the attic plus fit doors for storage spaces. They were response to our request for a quote, provided a clear break-down so we had full transparency of the costs and could select the amount of work we wanted to do at this time. "Initial person was too chatty, too much information, overwhelming. Later more succinct. Workers who did test & insulation (blower door test to reveal air leaks). Workmen were sufficient and polite. Two years later discovered they had caulked Marvin windows which should NOT be caulked in order to wash them w/ moveable parts. It cost me $175 to have them repaired or caulking removed. This was done & I submitted a bill 11/13/14 and have not been reimbursed yet. Have called 2x's to remind, last time man said he thought it was done and he would see about it. That was 3 weeks ago the last time and 7 weeks from the first reminder. It is now 2/24/15."
