"Company was great! Honest estimate with full breakdown of materials and services. The removed old grass and prepped the yard giving the new sod the best chance to grow. Installed 4 underground pipes to reduce water runoff and took our idea for 2 paths and created a beautiful final result. Came out after the work was done to confirm everything was as expected and even came back shortly after address any questions we had. Will work with again soon."

"Hometown decking Mike and his team transformed my backyard from a place I rarely occupied into an outdoor oasis that I use more than my own living room. I never imagined all the options I’d be given concerning the shape of my patio, texture, stain, and pergola. We contracted with Hometown Decking as part of a house renovation and this is my favorite place to be even though my entire house is now transformed. They were very flexible with our requests and we had quite a few requests. My home renovation became a family affair. My mother dealt with vendors and contractors more than I did, so I could be free to focus on my day job. When we found out my brother was flying in from NYC we asked if the lumber could be delivered early as we wanted to utilize my brother’s time to stain the cedar before the pergola was constructed. They were extremely helpful with getting us the wood before schedule. They got to know my mother and that she had an end date to being in Austin and made a special effort to finish both the pergola and the staining of the concrete before she had to leave. Sitting beneath the pergola with her after three months of labor was the best moment of the home renovation process. After 30 days the cola stain was added and only enhanced the beauty of my new patio. However, that night it sprinkled. I didn’t think it would be a problem but the next day I noticed little dots on the stain that wasn’t protected by the pergola. When I reached out to Hometown Decking they were very responsive and came back as soon as the chance of rain had passed. Mike saw the problem and restained and resealed the entire patio. This time they moved all the furniture for me, as my family was gone at this point. The result was breathtaking. The cola color was even richer. It has been rained on many times after that and there has been no effect on the stain. I thank Jay, Angel, Mike, Mary Catharine and everyone else who was involved in this project. I now have a beautiful and comfortable area to entertain many guests or just curl up with a good book and my dog who is so happy I am spending time outside with her."

"When the two providers I had used in the past informed me it would be ten days to two weeks before they could come to my house to service the irrigation system, I used Angie's List to find providers and chose Landpro. They were able to come out two days later. The technician was polite and prompt. He replaced several broken heads and adjusted others to cover the lawn appropriately without watering the sidewalk and driveway. He also advised me to have the bubbler head which was installed for a tree I planted in 2016 moved further out or eliminated as the tree was now well-established because watering that close to the trunk did not encourage the roots to go deep. The price was reasonable for the work done and time he spent on the job. I would definitely hire them again."

"It didn’t go very well. Well, we paid the $49; they came over. Then they an estimate for doing landscape work for us. Okay. And so, we drew up a contract for something like $3,000 for them to do landscape work. And then it went screwy. The $49 was for them to come and make a recommendation as far as a landscaping plan. So that they did. Then we paid them to implement their landscaping plan. From our perspective it didn’t go well. They put in plants that weren’t deer proof. So, the deer had a field day and ate a bunch of the plants. Also, the pictures they drew for us of what they were going to put in were of large plants and what they planted were tiny little immature plants. So, it’ll take years for these 10-inch or 12-inch high plants to get to be the size they said. We also wanted a walk way put into the side of our home and without showing us the samples of the types of rocks to be used they just went and picked up rock and put it down. It wasn’t at all what we wanted so we had to pick it up and take it back to the place they had picked it up from. Then we picked out our own stone and found someone else to install it. We have been going back and forth with them. We paid them $2500. They bought that stone for $1000. So basically, we paid them $1500 for the work they did. And I feel that it’s satisfactory for the work they did. Randy is the owner of the company. He came out and did the estimate, but we never saw him again. Which I also felt was a little screwy. He picked out the stone himself. The stone didn’t match our home at all, it was gray stone. And what we wanted was a more, something closer to matching our Mexican style home. So, they charged us for the labor for picking up the stone and laying it down. And we said that wasn’t what we want. Then they broke a pipe and then they charged me a day and half of labor to fixing the pipe. But they broke it.  So, things like that didn’t seem to be totally in agreement.  I don’t want to give them too low a rating."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Burnet, TX

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
