"When I first met Edwin he was very polite. He promised to follow the explicit details of the project which were to match existing fence. He said he would start in two weeks. When he finally showed up it had been a month. He stayed for a few hours and went home sick after having brought a small amount of disgraceful materials. I mistakenly agreed to pay $300 for these in advance. The wood was cracked, some posts too large and the boards the wrong species. After being instructed not to use a specific post he did so anyway. Then proceeded to make the gate a foot shorter than fence. After he left I noticed the cross bars were pine which he argued and lied over until Angi got involved. To keep job he agreed to get cedar like the original fence. By then I had had enough manipulation and childishness. He insisted on finishing job and I did not want him to. So in fear he would, I had to keep and move the materials he lazily left. If I do not get my $300 back I am glad because the gentleman working for him was very kind and I don’t want Edwin having an excuse not to pay him. Edwin is dishonest, and immature. I do not recommend him! My parents recently passed away and I wanted the project done for my Mother at least by Father’s Day. I am disabled and my puppy who is helping me to survive is not safely contained in my front yard. The Summer is wasted because I cannot empty the garage and get my home ready for a future PCA. Edwin knows not what he did and didn’t do. Do not hire this person and God Bless!"

They were quick, considerate and accommodating to the fact I had other work going on and they had to deal with dig safe because of the gas pipeline in my yard. The price was great and right on target with my numerous other quotes. They had a wonderful selection of fences and actually listened and asked questions. I have done a lot of work on my house and this company far exceeds any of the contractors I have used so far. So much so that I have never written a review before. While painting the exterior of my house, a large section of rotted siding / fraing was uncovered. The unexpected repairs were done quicly, efficiently, without any change order mark-ups, all as part of the project.
Replacing the windows at the church property required gaining access to 2 units rented out to 3rd parties. There wwere never any issues raised about costs / schedule delays that may have been impacted due to the need to coordinate with the tenants. Replacing all of the siding on the church owned apartment building (done in a historic district) was done professionally, with high levels of concern for safety (both for the workers and the public in the vicinity of the work area), cleanliness,and proper execution of the work.
Working with Ivaldo is more of a partnership where the goal of completing the job is considered paramount, not the profit at the end of the work. When applicable, Ivaldo has also offered alternative means of completing a given task which will cost the owner less, thus less income for Escala, but as I tried to indicate earlier it seems the "relationship" is more important to Ivaldo than short term profits.
