"Northland Fence was awesome to work with! The whole process from start to finish was done nicely in steps to make the process smooth and easy for me as a home owner to plan around and I was informed during each completed process to be sure I was happy first before they continued. Northland’s online estimate tool was also a plus as I was able to build a close estimate to what I actually was quoted at the end! My project was completed in the winter which I was hesitant since I wasn’t sure how well or quickly they would complete my fence due to the possible cold/snow storms but they were able to get my fence up within a reasonable timeframe and it looks great!! Not to mention the awesome discount i got for completing my project in the winter!! My only negative is not doing it 5 years ago when I first purchased this home due to the fear of cost, time and stressful process since i live on a busy corner lot just to realize how easy it was with Northland and wasting away 5 years of my yard!!"

"The only problem I saw was the barb wire was not straight on a 30 foot section and the dirt around a few of the posts was not packed right. The price was pretty good and they did the job the next day after estimate. One of the workers was kind of rude to me after the job was done? all in all I may hire them again but will get more than 1 estimate next time"

"Was very pleased with the overall result of New Again. I submitted dimensions and pictures over the website and received a very competitive quote. After stripping the deck there were a few more boards where some rotting was identified and Barak and his team replaced them promptly. Stain looks great and made an immediate difference. I had been contemplating if my 20 year old deck was too far gone and needed replacing... but after seeing what Barak could do with stripping the old paint off, replacing some bad boards, and staining... I'm very glad I chose to do this rather than replacement."

"I contacted many fence companies to replace a section of chain link fence and replace a single gate with a double gate. Responses included 1) they don't do chain link fence any longer, 2) the job was too small to bother with, or 3) they simply didn't return my phone call. However, North Star responded positively, and I could tell after talking with Jeff that customer service is a priority for them. The entire process went extremely well, and we are very pleased with the results. John, the owner, was out within days to prepare a proposal. He is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and professional, and a pleasure to work with. He also came back out to set the posts, a critical aspect of the job. Installation of the chain link was done very neatly and carefully, yielding a very nice-looking fence. It is exactly what we were looking for. I would strongly recommend North Star Fence."

"Preston Schmidt works alone and works harder than I can describe! He gently power washed each cedar shake on our large and complicated roof. It was early October in Minnesota, so he worked from 10 AM to 5 PM for two days on the cleaning, replacing about 6 shingles. Preston had to use lots of safety precautions while washing the roof. The roof had to thoroughly dry before he could apply the seal coating. Nature did not cooperate as it rained every day for a week. However, when we finally had two days of sunny dry weather, Preston finished the seal coating. The roof looks fantastic!"

"I'm glad I waited 10 years to write this review, as now the fence they installed has failed. At first it looked great, but I wish I had asked more questions and watched what they were doing at the time. The cedar posts were not treated in any way and they did not pour concrete footings for every post. They also used nails instead of screws on the panels and now nails are sticking out. When I called him recently to come back, I was disappointed that it was out of warranty. Our previous fence lasted 31 years! He gave me an estimate to fix the fence, then I called other companies for additional estimates and found out that they will not fix a fence they didn't install. So, I emailed Security Fence again to hire, but he never got back to me. Do not hire them unless you make sure they use treated posts, use screws instead of nails and make sure/watch them pour footings for every post. Now I have to either find handymen to fix my fence, or put up a new fence. If I put in a new one, I will choose vinyl this time. If Security Fence makes this right, I will update this review."
