With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot.
