"ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. THIS GUY IS A SCAMMER, THREATENS, AND MAKES FRIVOLOUS INJURY CLAIMS. 1st red flag asked for half the money ($15,000) up front which is illegal to do in the state of California. So glad I never did, he would have taken the money and ran. I met Evan on site walked the entire job with him, in which he was very difficult to talk to about the entire job scope, he then sent me an invoice for $32,600.00. I explained I always pay as the job goes and that he will get a check if there is progress being made. He agreed to his invoice, down payment amount of $3500 and started the job. I had sent him plans to show where the footings were to be poured but explained there is additional grading, side walkways, and patio work not in the permitted plans; that will need to be done is why we walked the job site to begin with. This is where the first issue with him started. He claims we never discussed this, but it is clearly written in his invoice after showing him his invoice he then agreed to it. At this point the only work that had been done was grading, footings dug, and a garage demolition. He asked for a material deposit, so I gave him a check for $4000.00 and I had already sent him $1000.00 by zelle for dump fees, which I agreed to pay since it wasn’t clear in his invoice. When I showed up to check the progress several neighbors complained about the mess, he had made all over the sidewalks with dirt and there was no dust control. Upon this inspection I noticed that no additional grading was done in the areas he had agreed to, which was also the front yard and where the side walkways were also to be poured. I had to clean up the site and apologize to my neighbors and order dust prevention fences. Here is where we had the disconnect...I gave him 2 plumbers phone numbers to call so they could set the ABS prior to setting the forms and rebar. This was where the 2nd red flag was, he said he always sets his forms and rebar then the plumber comes in after. If anyone has done new construction before they know the plumbing goes in 1st then the rebar. How could you possibly put plumbing pipes in if there is rebar in the way. So I arranged for a plumber to show up and let Evan know but he never showed up and this was the 3rd red flag. I reached out to him because of the lack of communication with him and 7 days had gone by for him to meet me on the job site to go over the entire scope of work and for him to have a COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING. After a difficult hour of him not understanding much but then he finally got it, we came to a finalized agreement. I even increased the invoice amount $3000 more. He had $8500 at this point which far exceeded his 1st phase invoice quote amount. He said he needed $4000 more and thank God I only sent $2500. He was asking for $10,000 more but I felt this was a very bad idea since I was already frustrated with him, and he constantly argued about a job he didn't seem to understand. I explained I was very upset with him for now showing up for a week and was wanting to contact the contractor state license board and police for fraud. Because he had shown up and finally understood my expectations, I felt we were on the same page and even took him to lunch. His real intentions were to rip me off for more money. I sent $2500 deposit for materials knowing the cost for forms and rebar would not exceed this amount. Two days later at 7:36am he claims he injures himself and sends me a picture of his hand supposedly cut, but it looked like a gauze pad with ketchup. I showed up to the property and not one form was set nor was there a 2x4 on the property. I asked my neighbors and a tenant that lives there if he was there and they all said NO, even asked the neighbor to pull his video footage, nothing. He texted me that since he injured himself, and that if I went after him legally or wrote any reviews, HE WOULD SUE ME SINCE HE IS NOT LICENSED. HE ALSO SENT THREATENING TEXT MESSAGES TO HURT ME SINCE HE KNOWS WHERE I LIVE AND THAT HIS FAMILY IS WITH THE HELLS ANGES AND THEY WILL DEAL WITH ME THE OLD FASHION WAY. I warn anyone out there this guy is not all there and is as crooked as they come. I have tried to ask for the deposits back but all I got was more threats and gas lighting tactics from him to deflect his wrongdoing. I’m out about $11,000 and only got about $5000 worth of work, to compromise I asked for $5000 back and instead he threatens to make a frivolous injury claim on property or have me killed or beaten up. Photos are attached to prove this an honest review, with his invoice, threatening text messages, and phase 1 was never completed. Invoice says he has insurance, and he is trying to scare tactic as the homeowner to avoid reimbursing me the deposits. This guy is a thief and does not know how to do legitimate business"

At HavenHub, we're more than just a home service company – we're your trusted partner in creating havens of comfort and joy. Specializing in several verticals such as Landscaping, Roofing and HVAC solutions, we bring expertise and dedication to every project we undertake. What sets us apart is our commitment to putting our customers first. From the moment you engage us, you'll receive a world class experience with us. Whether it's transforming your outdoor space into a lush oasis or ensuring your indoor climate is just right, we're here to make it happen. At HavenHub, your satisfaction and peace of mind are our top priorities, and we're honored to be a part of your home journey. Welcome to the HavenHub family, where your home is our passion.

"Haven Hub does not do landscape work. They subcontract out the job to random people who's work and experience (if any) is a mystery. The photos you see do not represent Haven Hub's work because you don't know who is actually going to show up on your property and likely, it's not going to be the same people. There is also no oversight of the project to make sure it's being done right. Here's what happened with us: 2 thorough consultations to draft a contract (Nick W), contract increases by 3k with no explanation, I was given the runaround for a few days, some poor excuse about stair walkways costing more than flat concrete and that the cost of materials was getting passed to me directly with no profit margin on Haven Hub's side, 2 weeks later people show up with no idea what they are doing on my property, we had guests that overstayed at our house so they got a hold of me at work to try and explain to someone with limited English and no video call what they needed to do. Different people showed up a week later to do concrete but had no idea what they were doing (the walkway). 2 weeks later another group shows up to lay artificial turf but I had to stop them because they didn't know where the turf was suppose to go. Keep in mind we are in contact with their "Chief Experience Officer" (Alex P) through this process. He says communication issue is because "English is not their first language" then proceeds to claim that everyone knows the project details even though they literally don't. Then they decide that they were not going to dig the planter holes or run the drip line on our yard. First it was because "your sprinkler valve is broken" (it wasn't), Alex argued with me about this as if he knew anything. Imagine someone trying to tell you about YOUR property and they have never seen or been to it. Then when his excuse wasn't getting by, the new excuse became "it's not on the contract" (the contract is vague), then when I brought up the planter holes that are clearly drawn on the contract, the excuse is "the soil in your area is difficult because it has rocks so it's going to cost you more if you want us to dig those eleven 5-gallon planter holes". I called their customer service number and got the runaround for a few weeks with the whole "we apologize that you feel this way" but never a "we apologize that we messed up" because there are two things that could have happened. 1) Nick repeated what we wanted and drew it on his project rendering but wasn't actually listening and what we asked for wasn't on the contract because he was being honestly absentminded, or 2) What we wanted in this project was heard, noted, and Haven Hub just didn't feel like doing it so they resorted to "technically its not on the contract" to pocket a larger profit. Anyway, Chanel-RS is also "an executive" and was in contact regarding the HUGE discrepancy in what we paid Haven Hub for and what we were getting. Every time I got an email it was about how they were diligently working on resolving this issue but basically, I would get calls from them at the very end of their day so if something needed to be addressed, it would just get pushed off to some unknown future date, just not that day. In the end, they didn't do anything to try and resolve anything other than send me what they think is considered an "itemized invoice" because I requested it. In total from the first consultation to project completion took 2 months. Our project was simple and basic and in the end, we did not get everything we asked and paid for, and we had to do free labor for Haven Hub. The only thing I can say that they were diligent and persistent about is trying to send someone to my house, without reasonable notice, to pick up the final payment and then constantly calling about it while the check was in a certified envelope on its way to their pretend office which apparently no one is actually at. After being as shady as they were and giving us no reason to trust them, why would I hand a 22K check to a random person showing up at my door? I'm not risking the chance of them pretending not to have it in their possession so they can charge me delinquency fees. You bet I paid the extra $10 just to certify that check. The only reason they are so scared that check isn't coming is because they are projecting their own dishonestly and lack of ethical business practices. Point is, don't hire them. You are better off just driving to Home Depot and picking up a few day workers to help you with the manpower. Haven Hub has been calling us non-stop to request that we remove our honest review. They tried to bribe us with gift cards and a "$1500 refund" to remove the original review on their business on Yelp."
