"We are extremely delighted and completely satisfied with our new roof and the workmanship provided by J & L.  Starting with John who was knowledgeable and helpful during the estimate process.  He answered all of our questions and put us at ease about such an expensive undertaking.  His product offering was excellent with high quality shingles and warranty.  We had four estimates provided as comparison.  One was far more expensive and the others were similar, but we feel we got the best in workmanship and that's what counts.  He and his crew showed up on time every day and put in a hard day's work.  They work as a team and there is no goofing off.  The crew was polite and answered any of our concerns as the work progressed. When they began tearing off the roof they found the reason there had been leaks from the shoddy job done by the original roofer and corrected everything. Because we had this done in early June they had to work between the rain drops. We were never left exposed as they covered all their work carefully and we had no issues.  Each night they cleaned up and disposed of all waste and swept our large driveway area and ensured there were no nails or sharp objects to protect not only us but our dog. Just before the roofing was started we had the house painted and they took pains not to cause any damage to the walls by covering the area where they were working.Because we have a flat area near the entrance, they put in standing seam metal roofing to aid with ice dams,etc. They worked this in beautifully with the shingles and it just flows evenly to the viewer. "I was really nervous about having anyone do this but these guys were great. My main contact was Don, he asked a lot of questions about my old furnace to find out if I really needed new or did it just need repair. As this is a mobile home its different then a house so he needed serial numbers and I offered to take measurements instead of him coming here just for that. They showed up when they said they would, it was nice that they seemed happy for me to get a new furnace, having me come out when it was unboxed to see it. They put old rugs over my floor to protect it. The Old furnace had backfired and was dented out, so they asked to remove the sheet rock( its like a door frame) I laughed and said of course but it might fall into pieces they assured me they would be careful and they were but my fix job looked great but wasn't sturdy. Any way the old went out and they had to do some rearranging of fuel line, the Floor opening was bigger then needed ,so that had to be redone, they just went along and did it never seemed impatient with each other or the job. The roof jack stove pipe thingy came out hard as I had replaced the roof 2 years ago and made sure it was sealed in(it was)!! They each had their own things to do and they just seemed to .. flow. By 330 it was getting too dark out to finish roof stuff so they got new furnace going, Don stayed a while to make sure it was running well and came the next morning to finish the caulking/sealing of the stove pipe. The old furnace was left in a neat pile for the metal collector and the cardboard was well held down. They cleaned up any mess (not much). Made sure I was happy and gave me the bill. Don has called to see how the furnace is running, I didnt expect that. Any type of remodeling is rough but the Spectrum guys didnt waste time,going in and out, taking breaks,talking on phones etc.They did the job well and they have a new customer."

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. I would use his services again in the future, as eventually it’s the right thing."
