"Communication is important, especially when hiring someone new to me. Sean kept in touch regularly with details and confirming date of installation of sliding glass door. His team was polite and professional. Their work was thorough, neat, and exacting. I have confidence in them and have also hired them to put in a small deck and stairs."

"Built to Last Construction was recommended to me by a friend who had them remodel her kitchen. First I hired them to paint a steep stairway to the upstairs, along with the upstairs landing (built their own scaffolding) and install railings. Their work was very professional and I can't belief how good it looks! Next I had them completely remodeled the bathroom in coordination with a plumber and electrician. Tom and his wife Ann went shopping with me for bathroom fixtures but because the bathroom is so small nothing seemed like it was going to work out. Tom actually ended up building a linen cabinet, sink base and medicine cabinet with a lighted mirror to fit. The quality of the wood and workmanship is outstanding! I am also hiring them for other projects. They are always very thorough and kept me informed on all aspects of the projects. I recommended them to a friend who has had a hard time finding someone to update her deck. She will not be disappointed."

"I had to have some interior sliding closet door tracks replaced in a bedroom closet in our 1700 sq. ft., 1950s, solidly built ranch home. The repair person who did this work , was competent, offered clear reasons for choosing the replacement parts he did, was courteous and “understood the style and vintage of this home.” He worked quickly and left nothing to be cleaned up. I am truly appreciative to Mr. Handyman of Northville, Canton, and Plymouth for providing this level of quality and competence in the repair person they sent to my home."

"Repairman found that the incorrect hardware was used on our doors when initially installed; installed correct hardware on both doors. Very helpful and professional!"

"The job went well. There did not appear to be any problems with the installation of the garage door. When the job was complete, the installer went through all the details for the proper maintenance and use of the garage door."

"Brian did a great job installing my new front entry door! Brian has a lot of experience and it shows. The project went smoothly and the site was completely cleaned up after the installation. Brian was very professional and pleasant to work with."

"My daughter knew of my terrible experience with my prior company and she had just gotten a new wireless system from 1st Security. She could not stop raving about how wonderful they were and how awesome the system was compared to her old one. OMG, I am sooo happy that she insisted that I have Jeremy from 1st Security come do a presentation and an assessment of my security needs. He was on time, friendly, professional and answered all of my questions without hesitation. Jeremy explained the 1st Security wireless system, showed me samples of the state of the art equipment , how easily it operated and then surveyed my house to determine the most comprehensive protection options for me. He offered me the Angie's List Special and a completely affordable package which even included the monitoring. It took less than an hour!!! Jeremy scheduled the installation and sent me all of the paperwork via email to docusign. I could not wait! In a couple of days , Larry, the master technical installer appeared at my door very early. He greeted me with a smile and immediately showed me each piece of equipment ,and where he was going to install them. He did this very quickly, despite having to climb over furniture and enter tight spaces to place the contacts. I was astounded when after he finished, he sat down and gave me a full tutorial on using the system. He showed me all of it's capabilities, and answered my many questions . I could not believe how much easier and more up to date this security system was to use than my old one. I have had many, many technicians in my home from the prior system, but absolutely none were as knowledgeable, personable, efficient or professional as Larry. He would not leave until I was comfortable, and even then advised me to call if I needed anything or had more questions. He was amazing.!!! A few days after my system was installed, I triggered a false alarm. The monitoring station called right away and did not hang up until assured that all was well. I did not have to wait or try to call them and get put on hold like with my old system. I only wish that I had more houses for them to install their system into, but since I don't, I plan to refer them to everyone that I know. 1st Security is affordable, state of the art and comprehensive. They are honest with no fine print that you have to worry about! I sincerely appreciate Jeremy and Larry and sleep so much better because of them . Thank you 1st Security!!!"

"Don called within seconds of my posting. He sent Mike out. Mike arrived within a half hour. Mike managed to straighten the panel enough to replace two broken hinges with 5 heavy duty commercial grade hinges. Don and Mike each have close to 40 years of experience in the door business. Garage doors are now their specialty. I highly recommend Don and company."
