"The roof looks pretty good. It took a couple of months to get the supplies - which is understandable in these times. I had stressed with the representative that my gutters were new, and "Charles" assured me that the workers would loosen them from the house and then re-attach them carefully. What they did was to nail the gutters back onto the house by using a nail gun and placing nails every 4" or so with no care as to whether or not the gutters were properly angled to run water into the downspouts! I got the gutters because I thought I could wait a couple of years before needing a roof replacement- but then I got a leak and had to hire a roofer. I chose one from Angi because they are great. They research their contractors and stand behind their work. So, unfortunately, I now have oil on my driveway where the the workers parked their leaky truck ("Charles said he would look into finding something that might clean that up.... but I never heard another word about it) and also a damaged ceiling in my outdoor utility from the pounding as they removed old shingles, so I have to repair those..... And, of course, I have to pay to have new gutters installed because the old /new ones were damaged so badly that they cannot be repaired. I contacted the G & G Roofing office and left my concerns with female who answered the phone, but did not receive a call back -Three times. I texted "Charles", but my text was not acknowledged. I could have overlooked the oil and the ceiling repair but the gutters are very expensive and were discussed on day one. How very frustrating!!"

While replacing our soffits and fascia (different project), the contractors discovered that there was a significant amount of deterioration in some of the roof frame, which would have to be replaced before they could complete the job. To help us through this unexpected emergency, the folks at Gutters Unlimited (equally amazing!) contacted Wiedmann to see if they could get a crew out to give us an estimate for the repair. Joe B contacted us and came out to inspect the damage and discovered that there were a number of other problems with the existing roof that should also be addressed (e.g. no metal channels in the roof valleys). He gave us an estimate for the repair as well as an estimate for a complete replacement. The cost of a new roof was about four times the cost of a repair, so we decided to get a new roof. Definitely the right decision. Joe B gave me a detailed scope of work that showed exactly what I would be getting, including Tamko Titan 160 mph Shingles (39 squares), new drip edges, new goosenecks and ventilation stacks, peel and stick underlayment, replacement fascia wood and plywood, and of new valley metal--all top-of-the-line stuff. He was able to schedule the start date within two weeks of contract signing. Work began right on time and was done quickly and professionally in about three days. There was a fair amount of wear and tear to a lot of the underlying plywood, which requited replacing, but this did not slow down the installation crew at all. Daily clean up was meticulous. The bottom line is that Wiedmann stepped up to help us out of a jam, came through with a superlatively-engineered solution and gave us a remarkably fair price (significantly less than all of the estimates that we had received from some other roofers). During the entire process, communication was effortless. I ask a lot of annoying questions and they answered all of them patiently and clearly. Joe A was a fountain of information on design and installation and Emily offered tremendous assistance in dealing with permits and inspections. "I contacted Sunrise Roofing Services for a roof replacement. Karel gave me an estimate was thorough, timely, and to the penny accurate. He explained the entire process including providing insurance and license information. He installed a tarp to prevent any further leaks into my house (no additional cost). The project was delayed because I was out of town so we agreed to a no earlier than start date. When I returned they started the project within one day of that date. They showed up on time (exactly) and I ask to see the permit. They pointed to my front door where they had posted it prior to ringing the bell. I was impressed. The old roof was removed and Florida required nailing patterns completed (including the nailing affidavit). The decking was repaired. A new underlayment, roof, vents, skylights, and flashings were installed. Cleanup was thorough. All of this was completed in one day including local building permit inspections. The following day the owner, Maria Flores, came by for payment. She came prepared with Lien release forms, warranty information, affidavit of contractors final payment as well as an invoice. We settled up while discussing her business. I relayed to her the things that impressed me most. 1. She has an actual place of business (not working out of her house like too many contractors) 2. No down payment required. 3. All of the roof installers are employees (not day workers). 4. All the paperwork was completed and presented in a timely manner. 5. Her employees are top notch. Installing a roof in the summertime in Florida is brutal. They probably deserve a raise. 6. Her company is a certified installer of the CertainTeed roofing line of products. I verified this with CertainTeed prior to contracting her. Maria was cordial, well prepared, and thorough.
