"I decided to go with Caruso because they could do a couple of smaller jobs at one time, which was convenient. The driveway job was more complicated than expected due to heavy clay that needed to be cleared for the driveway extension. They brought in a larger excavator and were able to get through the job. They worked through the weekend to get the job done, and I am happy with the results. I would hire again."

"The process from start to finish was great. John came out and was knowledgeable about the work to be done and was able to offer recommendations. He helped me visualize what the project would look like and offer a real time perspective. The crew started the job on time, worked quickly and efficiently and ultimately completed the project ahead of schedule. The area of my yard where the work was being performed had multiple elevations and I was pleasantly surprised when I was given the option of keeping the original plan of having multiple areas with steps or having level walkways/patio. I chose to have a level area to maximize the usable space. It was easy to communicate ideas with the entire Top NJ Construction Team throughout the entire process to ensure the desired results were achieved. The work performed is top notch and I am very pleased with the outcome. I will be reaching back out to them for future work and recommend their service."

"I had my wooden exterior steps onto my patio replaced by composite decking material. The Kisdir Group owner (Bruce) and staff were professional, courteous and did excellent workmanship. He called me immediately and showed up on time the next day. The stairs were exactly what I wanted. They did a great job and I have already recommended them to my neighbors."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Cape May Court House, NJ

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
