Small jobs welcome

"Angel installed a new vinyl floor, cabinet, and sink in my laundry room. Also replaced an interior door, and did troubleshooting on a leak we were having in our sunroom. Angel stayed in touch throughout the process, arrived on time and did flawless work, we couldn’t be more pleased. Would highly recommend for any home improvement projects you may have."

"Levi Reed, Josh P. and John W. were very polite and professional. The communication was great. They explained what they did and answered any questions we had. They installed sister joists with floor jacks to stabilize the flooring."

"To mirror another reviewer: we were also "extremely pleased with the job Enviropro did in our basement. The price was reasonable (relative to others we contacted), and the sales call was friendly without the high-pressure nonsense of some other waterproofers (*cough*midatlantic*cough*)." The company was prompt, responsive, and friendly. Mike even came out on a weekend for the estimate. The night before the installation, we had heavy rain and water appeared in a section of the basement it had never been before, so the plans were changed the morning of the work with no issues. The crew was friendly, clean, and even indulged my very curious toddler. I HIGHLY recommend EnviroPro!"

"I believe we got what we paid for. We had Install America out for a quote and they originally priced it somewhere around $16,000. But we got a phone call during the winter asking if a senior salesman could stop by to discuss new pricing. He wasn't pushy at all and told us they would do the roof for $10,000 and we were allowed to select from the more superior shingles, which we weren't in the original quote. Our old roof was nearing the end of its life, so we figured we were getting a good deal and decided to go forward with it. The workers showed up later than anticipated on the start day, and when they finally did, there was nothing on their vehicles to let us know that they were with Install America. No logos on the vehicles or clothing...nothing, so it was pretty obvious that it wasn't Install America doing the work but a subcontractor instead. Nobody came to the door to introduce themselves. Outside of us taking the initiative and coming out to meet them, there was no communication with the workers. I couldn't have picked the foreman out if you asked me to. We have a big roof and the work took 2 1/2 days, which was fine. They would have been done in 2 but they didn't order enough shingles. Not a big deal. The biggest issue we had was that they didn't make an effort at all to clean up the nails in our yard and flower beds. I understand if you miss a few, but I walked around after the job was done and picked up 250+ nails. We have 3 kids and a dog. Granted, it was January and they weren't playing outside much, but I was still finding nails 6 months later. My wife called to complain, but she kept getting the run-around with Install America. All this to say that we definitely wouldn't go with Install America again if we had to. There was just a lack of professionalism by the subcontractor and Install America (afterwards, not prior to the work being done). We are satisfied with the finished product, but it just seems as if they were happy to take our money, but didn't care about customer service at all."

"I always had a musty smell in my house and the crawlspace was always damp.  They came out and showed me the different material and decided the best one for the project.  Since they came out and installed the liner, the smell has improved tremendously. <br />"

"I have had such a positive experience with these people! They encapsulated my crawl space, installing a pipe, drain, and pump; replaced insulation and vapor barrier. Outside they redirected water from my downspouts. They were courteous, prompt and informative. The job was done quickly in one day, in a very professional manner. I would certainly recommend them and would hire them again. Wonderful people!"

"On the first occasion, the workers were on time and promptly completed their work in two days in early June 2009. The owner was not on-site to supervise because he had another job to go to. Testing revealed that the mold count was still elevated, so the job had to be done a second time more thoroughly. Also, one of the windows was installed backward, which was remedied. Apparently, contractor 's crew did not use specified mold treatment methods and precautions the first time, such as HEPA filtering of the space during and after the job was completed and sealing vapor barrier to the crawl space walls. These were corrected the second time at end of June. Contractor performed own mold tests and refused to permit me to contact the laboratory to ask questions about some results that were not making scientific sense, and he also refused to submit to his lab my written questions about the tests. (I was free to do own tests at own expense a second time.) Also, contractor failed to show up on the day the roofer needed him to wash the roofing beams in July with the anti-mold solution, but did come the next day after a series of unpleasant calls between all concerned. (This contractor said he didn't have sufficient notice from the roofer, which the roofer disputed.) There was confusion about several aspects of job: Whether installation of the dehumidifier and sump pumps included installing the necessary electric outlet in the crawl space (we ended up conpromising the price and I'm obtaining my own electrician at my expense); and whether contract included treating the attic beams rather than just fumigating (contractor agreed to do the washing, which involved a few hours work for two men). (I also take some responsibility for the lack of clarity in the contract on these points.) In the end, despite these struggles and misunderstandings, the jobs were completed and there's no hard feelings."
