"I received a confirmation email soon after purchase and a call within a day or so to make an appointment. There was some question as to whether the Big Deal service would include locating (and pointing out to me) the on/off control for the backyard water, which I requested; the scheduler put a technical person on the line who addressed this fully. The appointment was made for just one week after service purchase date, with a four-hour arrival window.  The two-person irrigation team arrived I think late in the first half of the time frame. They were polite, professional, focused and efficient. They explained what they were going to do and how this fit into the ongoing service the company offers. They explained the entire process in all the detail I could have wanted and answered my somewhat disorganized questions. I explained that I wanted to learn the location of the main water control and the on/off control for water to the backyard sprinkler and spigots and was told I could follow them around or get a walk-through at the end, whatever I wanted. I followed them out and was shown exactly where the curbside water main is (below the meter) and, at my further request, the tool they used to turn it on and off. In the below-ground controls next to my house, I was shown the lever for the backyard water and, at my request, told precisely how to operate it. Travis and Austin were patient and thorough, addressing my concerns. They certainly made a clear sales pitch for ongoing services, which is expected -- that is one of the main purposes of Big Deals. Although I no longer irrigate my lawn in summer for various reasons, I learned how fall winterization could be worth the cost. I am likely to hire ProGrass for this and would not have considered having repeated winterization if I wasn't impressed with this initial service. I like developing continuity in home services -- I have continued with the same arbor service for several years since first hiring them through a Big Deal. If I could suggest any way ProGrass could have improved this service, I would ask for a shorter service window and the offer of a phone call (or text message) when the provider is on the way, with an estimated time of arrival. Overall I am very satisfied.

"Mr. Bennett and his associate were on time for our appointment and he conducted himself in a very professional manner.  He demonstrated excellent knowledge and understanding of my "Rainbird" system.  He described each problem area and needed adjustments and/or repair.  He ran the system through a complete cycle to determine areas needing adjustment or repair and then re-ran those areas to be sure problem was corrected.  He and his partner worked effectively together in a timely manner. The Backflow test was completed utilizing appropriate testing instruments ensuring that the system was within code.  He expressed that he wanted his customers to be completely satisfied with his work and I must report that I was completely satisfied with his work.
I have no hesitancy in giving my highest recommendation of Mr. Bennett and will have him back for any future work needed.  I have already recommended him to others.

"I met with Mariano and he gave me a quote right on site. He had to delay the start of the project due to the heavy rains but that was understandable. I was out of town while he did the work but he called to check in when he had a question. When I got home Mariano called me to remind me to water the new lawn, which I thought was great customer service. I was very satisfied with the job they did and will definitely use them again in the future."

"I really want to give Juan and his assistant triple A ratings based on my first experience.  Juan came to give me an estimate and tried to work me into a an earlier appointnment.  He was unable to finish earlier jobs, though, so we rescheduled.  The two of them came for this second appointment and worked hard clearing this very overgrown area.  It was so irregular and cluttered that they had to do most of it by weed wacking.   Also cut down a storm-damaged big tree and a smaller one. I would have been happy to have him come back.
I tried to schedule a second appointment; he said to call him & we would arrange and an appointment.  Over the next 3 weeks, I would call and leave a message and not get a return call.  Able to reach him eventually to arrange a new appointment and he didn't show up or call.  I called again and tried one more appointment.  He arrange for a new date and time but did not show up for that either.  He has never called me since.  Too bad.  He was hard working and honest but I need to be able to rely on a workman to get back to me and to come when an appointment is scheuled.
