There was an Angie's List deal for an inspection which I purchased, and braced for the bad news. Contacted promptly the same Sunday, and an appointment scheduled at my earliest convenience. The service provider did an un rushed, thorough job. Found that, indeed, the unit had not been recently maintained, but that he only found the need for the heat exchange coils to be cleaned, a pound of coolant, and a switch replaced. Assessed that, despite its age, the unit was otherwise holding up well and likely to perform well another year or two. A pleasant surprise as I was bracing to be quoted replacement costs. The unit is now running great, and I have time to properly plan and shop for a replacement HVAC or geothermal system. No issues. A good honest job and repairs. Price seemed commensurate with the service provided.

"I usually do not provide reviews. However, Malik from M2Renovations went so far beyond what I expected that I felt obligated to provide a comment. The project was to repair the planks on the deck and the associated stairs. Unfortunately, the original contractor had failed to install flashing, leading to rot on the stringers and joists that was not visible before the start of the project. As a result, both the stringers and joists needed repair. To me, this was not only beyond the original project scope but could be covered by twining the existing joists? an easier fix. Despite this, Malik completely replaced all three stair stringers and several joists at no additional cost. And, perhaps for the first time, I had to negotiate with a contractor to pay a higher price as he wanted to stick to his original quote, which was still pretty low considering the additional time and material required. He was very responsive, answered all of my questions (and I tend to have a lot), and even played"
