Brian F helped me select the correct windows for my home. He was tireless in taking my questions and informing my decision. I needed to have 3 picture windows and 6 side double-hung windows replaced. Financially and emotionally this was a huge decision for me especially because the windows are on the front of my home. Brian helped me to select the perfect windows. Once the windows were delivered, the installation process began. Due to the covid virus, there was a delay in delivery and installation but I was kept informed about any delays. These delays were kept to a minimum for sure. I cannot say enough about the installation crew! I had friends over on the day of the installation and one of them happened to be a carpenter. He assured me that the work being performed on my home was top-notch. Due to the need for lumber replacement surrounding the windows (because we had neglected the old windows for many years), the installation took two days. On the first day we had a huge storm blow in! The storm’s arrival was earlier than expected, so the crew had begun the final removal/ installation. They kept going through the storm and they kept up the level of quality of the installation even while the storm raged around them! They left for the day while it was still raining and I never had a leak of any kind. The next day the trim and caulk was applied. The installers carefully timed these steps in order to let the lumber dry as much as possible before carefully sealing around the windows. The final result is beautiful! The caulking and finishing is impeccable and I am very happy that I went with a company that could handle the extra repair my installation required. I have every confidence that I will love my windows for many years to come!"

"The previous owner I bought the house from concealed the rotten windows and the home inspector my realtor recommended did not mention that the windows need to be replaced. 5 years later, water started to come into the house and I learned that not only I need windows, but my house susteined significant damage. I looked for a local company willing not only to replace the windows, but to fix the potential damage as much as possible. Not a same day or 2 days replacement company that will slap the new window in the rotten frame but someone willing to replace a rotten stud or seal. And I found Travis that made me an excellent impresaion- honest, knowledgeable and surprisingly, not pushy. After an initial quote I let it sit for about 2 weeks until I decided and except an email asking me if I have more questions...which I had -about 10 of them lol, he let me decide. In 4 weeks his team was already on site. Now his guys are the best. I had Adam and Rafal installing my windows and oh, my , when they opened the walls I was looking in disbelief at the rotten wood. They were able to replace all that rotten wood including wood studs, top and bottom seal, joists, etc and make the window casing look like new. Most companies either walk away or cover the rot but these guys were absolutely amazing. Every detail was adressed and every concern was answered. And I was not an easy customer because I was over concerned and watched everything they did, asking a bunch of questions. Yeah, that kind of a customer. What can I say. There are a lot of windows companies but these guys standed apart being able to handle this complex and challenging project. The top of the wainscoting should be set at one-third of the room’s height. So, for a standard room with nine-foot ceilings, the wainscoting should extend exactly three feet. This precise measurement creates a balanced, elegant look that enhances overall room proportions and delivers a classic design appearance.
Wainscoting can make a room look smaller if the room has low ceilings. The same rule applies with wainscoting as it does with painting any space: In order to make the room look larger and more open, paint it a light color like white or cream. Since beadboard incorporates vertical lines in the paneling, this style of wainscoting is ideal for those wanting to make a room appear larger than it is.
While wainscoting can technically be used in any room, you’ll typically want to reserve it for a more open space, like a foyer where you want to make a dynamic first impression or a bathroom with tall ceilings. Avoid using wainscoting in small spaces with low ceilings. Open concepts like a living room and kitchen combination also don’t work well with wainscoting because there isn’t a clean break point along the walls.
