"This spring we were in search of a company to pour a concrete patio as we were removing our old floating deck. We came across Clark Companies at the White Bear Home Show @ The Hippodrome. They followed up promptly afterwards and set a time to come out for a quote. They answered all our questions and helped us envision what it could look like. They were the only company we had out that actually cared (the others you probably hear advertised all the time). If you're here because you are researching them you can see they do this all the time and they do it well. They gave us many options to choose from for the patio & other items to complete the project (I.e stairs or grass seed). During the installation they were very professional and consulted with us along the way to make sure we were happy before all was said and done. Thank you Clark Companies! "Andy and Jesse and their team at Beds and Borders were outstanding. We met with them late fall 2019 and they charged us a reasonable price for a comprehensive plan to completely re-landscape our home. This involved a new retaining wall at the front of the home, new front patio, multiple new planting beds, plant recommendations, sod work, a gravel bed under our trampoline, and a new irrigation system. Andy was very responsive and worked with us throughout as we asked for tweaks and revisions, how we could save money, what we liked, etc. The project was implemented this spring over the course of just 4 days and looks beautiful! We are very happy with the project and would definitely hire Beds and Borders again."

"Chris came out initially to take a look at the back yard and to discuss the project. I had asked him to put together a design based on some initial ideas and requirements of our own. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about installing patios. We discussed some issues with needing to improve water run off from the back of the house. We were in contact numerous times before start day to refine the design and choose pavers and lighting. Chris was always very responsive to my emails and calls and always pleasant to talk with. On start day, he showed up with his crew and a slew of machinery to excavate and prepare the base for the patio. He worked with me to mark off the perimeter and shape of the patio. When the size of the patio ended up bigger than what I had initially sent as measurements (my error), he didn’t complain- he just said he would order the additional pavers and we’d adjust the final invoice. I had asked him to try and not rip up the surrounding lawn too much and so they laid plywood and made sure that the skidsteers and other trucks stayed on that one small area. This was a real sign of their professionalism to me. I was amazed how the patio took shape in just 1 week. The crew worked through blistering heat and never complained. At the end of week 1, the patio was installed minus the final 4 cap lights since we had to wait for the lights to arrive. I make a partial payment to Chris for the work completed and then 1 week later, he came out and finished the lighting and worked through the electrical hook-ups to the house with our electrician on that day. We used pavers from a vendor who Chris uses and I was pleased with the look of what we chose. The pavers were installed well and Chris used polymeric sand to hold them in place. The job site was cleaned up every night and they moved excavated soil and aggregate base and we never had a “mess” at the house. Part of the project involved them ripping out a concrete landing outside of our adjacent garage access door and I never saw the broken concrete because they just hauled it away. Overall the patio looks incredible and I wouldn’t have asked for a better experience with an installer than what we got with Chris and his crew. I felt that the pricing of the project was very fair and that Chris and his guys were dedicated to finishing the patio as quickly as possible."

"Having had a wood deck for more than 20 years, which was beautiful when it was young, I knew that when I replaced that deck, I would want something that didn't need to be stained or painted each year. After learning about the variety of products, I chose Azek because it is basically plastic, and wouldn't be affected by moisture. I could find just a few companies in the area that worked with Azek: one didn't return my call, one was very expensive, and then there was Outdoor Solutions. Mike came to my house as the salesman, and later, headed up the crew that actually installed the deck. He suggested color combinations, which was good for me because I don't have a good eye for design. The work took a week, including tear down of the old deck and construction of the new deck. The old deck was hauled away, and I liked that there was never a Dumpster on my driveway. Clean-up was pretty good but not perfect: I found several little cellophane wrappers in the lawn, as well as a hammer. I also found several screws in the garden beneath the deck. There was also very little notice between telling me when work would start and when it actually started - like a few hours. These little things, however, would not get in the way of considering Outdoor Solutions for future work. Mike did not respond to either of my texts after the work was done, addressing the hammer I found in the lawn and to find out whether he wanted to pick up the final check from me or mail it to the company."

"We have used Green Meadows for 3-4 years now. They come with a crew of 5 or 6 workers and can clean up our entire lawn in 3 hours (normally would take the two of us 3 days). If our trees are late in dropping the leaves, Corey (the owner) has always worked with us to adjust the cleanup date to accommodate our needs. This year, they even came on a Saturday to get the leaves up before the first forecasted snowfall the following day. They have always done a thorough job."
