We were able to go around our firepit one way, our pool another, around the gardens, etc., exactly what we needed. We followed all the training steps and our Goldendoodle runs free in the zone! We have public sidewalks on two sides of our yard with lots of people and dogs walking by. He runs along his "fence" but doesn't cross it and you can set the fence range to whatever distance you need. Our dog actually stays a couple feet back from where he could go. They put up most of the fence in the winter, put up temporary fence in the spots that could not be done due to the season, then returned in the spring to finish.
