"After Hurricane Helene the pressed board siding around our fireplace chimney was in bad shape. Adding to that was the fact the roofers who replaced our roof afterwards did not install proper flashing on our garage (which contacts the chimney) and it exacerbated the situation. Pressed board was peeling away from the structure, warped, and expanded from water intrusion and a number of areas. We wanted to replace the entire exterior of the chimney with Hardie Board and have any of the water damaged under layers replaced with OSB and have the entire structure wrapped. We received a number of competitive estimates, but the estimate from Umbrella was by far the lowest and included more work than the others. The owner, Eduardo, is knowledgeable, experienced, and very professional. He assured us that he could have all of the work done to proper standard and completed within 48 hours. "From the very beginning with the salesman who knocked on our door to the salesman who came to our home, to the finished job, everything has been outstanding. Both salesman were very courteous and in no way pushy. They were both obviously very confident in their product, but there was no pressure. When we were finalizing the sales agreement the representative informed us of a substantial discount for signing at the time. This was in my opinion no way a pressure technique as you would expect. He offered it once only in a very low key way explaining that it saved the company money if he did not have to come back later which would prevent him from new sales calls, so that savings was offered to us. He urged us to think it over and to not do it unless we were completely comfortable, in fact suggesting that we shop around. He then dropped it and didn't mention it again. The entire interaction was very good with no pressure or shadiness. We had siding, gutters, and a new entrance door installed. The crews (a different crew for each job, and obviously very skilled at it), were all very nice and did a fantastic job. They cleaned up thoroughly every day and listened to questions and acted on them without question or hesitation. Every crew was great and got the jobs completed quickly. There was no down time during the installations or between jobs. Everything was done in just over a week. The quality of the work and the materials is very high. Power is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. When considering the quality of the materials and workmanship, the timeline of installation, and the unbeatable warranty, I think that they are a good value. We are very pleased with the project and have had no issues are problems at all. We highly recommend Power Home Remodeling."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. "Corey, the salesman who contacted us, gave us a thorough estimate in writing and explained all the services clearly. On the first day, Saul (who would become the crew chief for the following two days) pressure-washed. The crew then spent two full days from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. painting in 90-degree heat but not rushing the job. They did meticulous work, were careful to alert us when doors had to be painted -- we have cats that needed to be shut up in rooms, so they couldn't get outside -- and were polite and friendly when we spoke to them. They also cleaned up thoroughly. Corey took full payment at the end and walked around to see if anything needed a touch-up. (We had done that the previous day but didn't see anything that needed further work.) I should also mention that the crew worked quietly; we didn't ask for that, but we appreciated it. The results could not be better: The house really "pops" when we approach it while driving up the street. The cost (which included an Angie's List discount) was $4300, which seems quite reasonable. First, it paid for two coats of Sherwin Williams Duration brand paint. Second, it bought us an upgrade to a higher-quality paint that extended our warranty from three years to five. We first used this company in 2012 with equally successful results, and we would certainly use them again when the house needs another painting."
