"Had the pleasure of hiring Vail-Syde Construction to replace 28 windows and a double door at our home. From all the contractors we had out to quote the job, he stood out the most with his knowledge. Our home is 37 years old and so were the windows. From start to finish, the job took only two days! We didn't feel overwhelmed during the project and it didn't take weeks to complete. Ruston, one of the owners was on site daily to oversee the project/ answer any questions I had. Very thankful to find this company and their workers!"

"Custom materials took a while to come in, but the company kept in contact the whole time about where we were in the process. Installation of ten windows and siding along the top floor, soffetting and trim, taking down the gutters and wrapping the wood in aluminum, all done in less than a week. The project lead, Chad Whitmore, was able to answer all of our questions and concerns promptly. Looks great!"

"Very professional group. Work was performed in three days and included a complete tear down and replacement of the siding, facia, soffit and gutters. Top quality material was used across the board. House looks better than new."

"Albert came out and gave me quote, and seemed very courteous, but said I was outside his normal service area of the city of Charlotte. He agreed to do the work in two weeks, and said he would call to confirm. he never called or showed. I called back the following week, and again he scheduled a day to come out. He never called or showed. I had to request refund today because it has been 30 days since I purchased it."

"Corey, the salesman who contacted us, gave us a thorough estimate in writing and explained all the services clearly. On the first day, Saul (who would become the crew chief for the following two days) pressure-washed. The crew then spent two full days from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. painting in 90-degree heat but not rushing the job. They did meticulous work, were careful to alert us when doors had to be painted -- we have cats that needed to be shut up in rooms, so they couldn't get outside -- and were polite and friendly when we spoke to them. They also cleaned up thoroughly. Corey took full payment at the end and walked around to see if anything needed a touch-up. (We had done that the previous day but didn't see anything that needed further work.) I should also mention that the crew worked quietly; we didn't ask for that, but we appreciated it. The results could not be better: The house really "pops" when we approach it while driving up the street. The cost (which included an Angie's List discount) was $4300, which seems quite reasonable. First, it paid for two coats of Sherwin Williams Duration brand paint. Second, it bought us an upgrade to a higher-quality paint that extended our warranty from three years to five. Third, it included the replacement of rotten wood, which meant at least four boards of siding, areas on two soffits and parts of the pillars at the bottom of our front steps. We first used this company in 2012 with equally successful results, and we would certainly use them again when the house needs another painting."

"Andre is a terric handyman and carpenter. He is professional, diligent, timely, and pays attention to detail. He has done several projects for us including building shelving units in a work shed, repairing a leaking shower, fixing huge holes in our ceiling and patching cracks to make the drywall seamless and brand new looking. He has rebuilt built-ins around a fireplace and cut granite to fit the shelving. He can do pretty much anything you ask him to. I highly recommend him for drywall repair, carpentry, cabinetry, and granite work."

"Once he finally got in touch with me after numerous attempts to touch bases with him - he was fine . Nothing extra - windows were left really dirty but the siding had a lot less mold and mildew."
