"We had to get some stucco done on the home, contacted Anthony Daly, who came out to look at what exactly needed repairing. Once we agreed on the updates, the crew came out to do the work. The workers showed up on time and always cleaned up at the end of their work day. If we had any questions or concerns, Mr. Daly would respond to us as soon as possible. He also kept us up-to-date on any additional cost and would explain the price change. The crew did a wonderful job with the stucco repairs and our exterior improved vastly. After the updates were completed, we received many compliments and people wanted to know who did the work."

They came out on time the day they told me they were coming out gave me a quote on my roof, which is the best quote that I got out of the seven other quotes from other roofers, I will never regret calling this company. This was a small job and I was pleased to have Gregory work it into his schedule. Both repairs required a 40' ladder as they were about 2 1/2 to 3 stories up. Given the work required and the height, I thought it was a fair price."

"Our project included removal of stucco from the one side of the house that had it, repair of any underlying water damage, and installation of vinyl siding to match the other three sides of the house. We also had three windows replaced and larger gutters with gutter guards installed on the entire house. It was such a big and expensive job, that we wanted to be sure we selected a good company. We were impressed when we called every reference C&C Plastering gave us, and every reference gave a rave review. We were also impressed with the amount of detail C&C provided in explaining what needed to be done and what would be included in the process. C&C’s price was substantially similar to that provided by a second contractor, but included more tasks (e.g., removal/re-flashing/re-installation of windows, a certain amount of subsurface repairs, painting, etc.). C&C’s proposal also provided more details of the job. Removal and re-flashing of the windows turned out to be important as it was determined during the project that the windows had not been properly flashed when they were installed. David Condon of C&C frequently came to our house during the project to check on the work by his crew. He explained the work to us as it progressed, answered our questions, and promptly addressed any concerns that we had. Our project necessitated that C&C work both inside and outside of our house. C&C personnel were very neat and very courteous. C&C provided more than ample personnel to complete the project and completed the project in less time than estimated. Our neighbors commented how hard C&C worked during the project. C&C completed the project for the price originally quoted. We would highly recommend C&C for this type of work."

"The initial call to the company was facilitated by Shirley, who was very nice, professional and helped to schedule a date and time we could be home for Carlos, who provided the evaluation of our existing roof, gutter and skylight. He provided paperwork, the estimate and honored our desire to read the contract and discuss our options after he left.  He did not hassle or push for us to accept and sign the contract. Carlos was professional, prompt and thorough. During the evaluation he was sure to make the measurements to the roof and skylight so the estimate would be as accurate as could be.  Carlos answered all questions our discussions, and during the phone calls to confirm the roof and gutter replacement.  On the day of the service, for some reason the battery lost its charge, and I was not able to move the car.  The crew led by Sandy was kind, considerate and covered the car with their tarp. They told me that "it's okay", (after I apologized over and over). Although not directly in their way, they still had to make sure none of the shingles, supplies or the Equipter hit the car. All members of the crew tolerated my questions periodically throughout the day, and were very polite while providing a brief explanation of what they were doing. All members of the crew knew their assignment, and worked throughout the entire day, with the exception of their lunch break. Carlos came to the house, went on the roof, and checked on the progress. The roof looks great, the gutters/downspout are great and the skylight replacement provides us with the new and fresh view.  The shed roof has new and fresh look, with the old tattered shingles and damaged deck boards replacement. Carlos said he was present when the old gutters were removed so he could confirm if the soffit boards would require replacement. I told him beforehand to replace the wood if it was bad or rotted.  Following the completion of the entire project, Carlos came to the house to be able to see the gutter that I inquired about during a follow up phone call. When I returned home from work that day, the tiny adjustment was made to our satisfaction.  Financing was also made available to us if we needed it.

"When we first met with Lew Merryfield, our home was a disaster.  Smoke and intense heat had made it necessary to completely gut and restore our home.  It was a time of great despair and confusion.  Lew was very reassuring that his company would be able to handle to assignment and allow us to return to a home that was better than ever, and agreed to bid the job in the format requested.
After the contract was signed the Merryfield Construction Group was very active, and progress was made every week.  We opted to hire our own subcontractors for plumbing and HVAC, and an electrical contractor recommended by the provider.  The provider and their staff worked well with the other contractors and were communicative with us during the process.  A promise to never abandon working on our home for any significant period of time was kept.  Building options and recommendations were presented at appropriate times and were appreciated.  Lew and his brother George worked with us to solve problems that arose and we always felt like it was a partnership and that they took great pride in their work.  Additional work outside the original contract and work change orders were appropriate and reasonably priced.
The fire was one week before Christmas in 2013, and we were able to move back in late October 2014.  Although this time frame was slightly outside of the original estimate, it was not considered unreasonable given the nature of the work and the change orders. After we moved in, the provider has done a nice job on following up any problem areas and punch list items.
We are very happy with our "new" home and are confident that the provider will continue to stand behind the work.  The overall job turned out much better than we could have expected.  Lew and George Merryfield, and their staff, particularly Tom Ferry, Sean, and Scott, were always respectful and friendly, and took obvious pride in their crafts.  In conclusion, we are glad we selected Merryfield Construction Group and would not hesitate to use them again in the future or recommend them to others."
