This included replacing the roof vent - tankless requires something different than a tank. I was home when they initially arrived and when we negotiated the replacement. I had to leave for work but my wife was there while they worked. She said they departed about 4 pm so it was an all - day job. Nobody replaces their water heater on a whim. Something bad has to happen - like a leak or no hot water. I got lucky. I replaced my hot water heater by talking to an experienced plumber about annoying issues.
