"Everything went smoothly. The communication was great. They arrived when they said they would. They removed 65 square feet of concrete from my patio and hauled it away. The jackhammer only took about 10 minutes and was not as loud as I had expected. They were only on my patio for about 45 minutes. They did not waste any time. Originally, I had gotten a bid from them to only remove 10 square feet. The day before, we changed our minds. D & A Concrete was able to provide an updated bid over the phone. "The work was done well overall, but I had to remove some large concrete pieces from the sloping areas around the edges. The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. This was not Jerry's fault, as they did not follow his instructions to break these up, and add them to the substrate rock under the patio base. There were delays due to the very bad weather, out of his control, but the re-scheduling needs could have been communicated better, in my opinion."
