"Through no fault of this company, I will be using a different contractor.  It was too late in the season to do wood rot repair when I purchased the Big Deal.  Wood must be painted within a certain temperature range, which is iffy in the late fall and winter.  He was good enough to give me an estimate of all wood rot repair needed, which was extensive. "Bill showed up with Jorge and helper. They completed some caulking of nails and replaced a torn shingle in roof cap. In addition Bill recommended some maintenance on two chimneys to reattach some flashing and new collars around four roof vents. The nail caulking didn't fix the leak in roof. A reassessment discovered a "soft" spot in the roof and a J- channel that was not carrying water away but banking it against the side of the house. Douglass manufactured a nifty little metal dam that he placed behind the J channel to carry water away from the house. After replacing plywood and shingles in "soft" spot ,a water test of the roof proved the recalcitrant leak of maybe 10 years or more was finally fixed at a reasonable price. Also, good to get the maintenance of chimneys and vent collars."
