"We had carpet in our family room and office, and were in desperate need of a change. KBA has done numerous projects in my house, each time with exquisite results. Therefore, i got in touch with Bruce and he came out on time and took the measurements and sent me a quote within a day. He took time to go to Home Depot with me, where we figured out what look would go best with the house and my budget. Bruce was honest with me about the timeline of the project, and if there was ever an issue he always connected with me to see what would be the best way to solve the issue. I have used KBA for about 4 years for various projects around my house, and will definitely be using them for many more years to come!"

"It went well! I expected it to take a long time to get it picked up, but I called for the bag to be emptied on Friday and they were here Saturday! I am already filling it up again. (We have a MESS from the storm and need to finish the kitchen before this weekend's company coming in from out of town.) I have already called them to request my bag be emptied on Friday, and they have me on the schedule! I can't believe the customer service is so great! This is not a regular dumpster company. I have a dumpster delivered last summer and they gouged my driveway. What a nightmare it was to get them to pay for the driveway to be fixed. NEVER AGAIN! It's BullBag only for our future needs."

"By far the lowest price out of four estimates. Installation happened on scheduled date and at scheduled time. Completed when anticipated. Workers were polite and responsive to requests. Workers were very careful and deliberate about making sure top of fence was level all around and looked professional. However, ground was uneven around the pool so in several places the gap between the ground and the bottom of the fence was greater than allowed by "code". Workers did not recognize this as a problem and did not independently take action to correct this, nor did anyone at a management level inspect the fence when completed to insure that it was up to "code". On the other hand, when this was brought to the attention of management, they were very responsive and immediately took action to inspect the fence and proposed an acceptable solution at no additional cost to us. Within a reasonably short period of time, Berkshire Fence brought in dirt and raised ground level around pool to be even on all sides, leaving less than four inches between ground and pool fence (according to "code"), and then reseeded the lawn. Seeding was not professionally done. Soil was not loosened before seeding and seed was not evenly disbursed. Grass grew back very splotchy with many bare spots. Berkshire Fence then reseeded the bare spots at no additional cost to us. Fence looks great now."

"The CCR personnel, the owner of the company who submitted the bid and oversaw the work as well as the crew that did the work, were entirely professional throughout. The roof is a rather complex one with several gables and some steep pitches, so it was not a trivial job. Nevertheless, the work was entirely satisfactory from start to finish. It was done carefully and expeditiously and the crew left virtually no debris behind. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending CCR to anyone needing roof work."

"<p>This is an 1897 Victorian 8 room 'cottage' w/much original equipment and built-in features. Items, for ex., cabinets, were custom-built so today's mass-produced items didn't fit.  This required creative thought and design on Sam's part to figure out how to marry new to old while maintaining the harmony and beauty of the original plan.  For ex., he went to at least 4 sources to try to find wood wainscot rather the plastic composite more readily available, after 3 different plans for saving the original would not work. He had to deal w/an owner, me, who groaned in pain when some of these original features could not be saved.  He worked hard to preserve what he could within my budget.  For ex., the claw foot tub was re-glazed rather than replaced (one that size would not even have been able to be brought into the bathroom now). </p> <p>The original damage occurred during a period when others also had damage, so delays occurred because workers were not available.  In addition, Sam had to orchestrate a large number of subcontractors and other workers.  To date over 40 separate individuals have been working in or on my house.  With so much repair required, prioritization of sub-projects is a priority to plan from the beginning as Sam did, while also being flexible enough to address unexpected issues.</p> <p>As walls were opened up, such unexpected problems were encountered (ex. a carpenter ant nest requiring some rebuilding there) or were created (for ex., damage to a water pipe which led to a major replacement project).  I did not expect the number of detours to repair items that were not part of the original damage.  Also when something is opened up, it has to be repaired to current code standards, again requiring additional work that I had not anticipated.  (I did learn that variances to code can be obtained in limited situations.) </p> <p>Do anticipate that you may have to leave the house.  For ex., while the water and sewer lines were being repaired, I had to be out for several weeks since the water was shut off then even though they did try to avoid that.</p> <p>I am so grateful to Sam, his crew, and subcontractors who have been working on this long and involved project!</p>"
