"We sorely need to replace our busted up asphalt driveway.  A search on this site pointed me to Mendoza Concrete.  <br /> Susan Mendoza, runs the office.  She sounds like the happiest person ever.  I told he what we need and she said she will send him out that day.  <br /> Mr. Mendoza arrived within 2 hours.  He is the type of guy who looks you in the eye and gives you the straight answers. We agreed on a price and he set it all in motion. Within days, weather permitting he and his crew showed up On Monday - 8 AM.  By 5:30 PM, the driveway was poured (12 yards), broomed and sealed.  This crew of hardworking guys were amazing to watch.  They all worked together without talking.  Each knew what needed to be done and jumped on this job like so many ants on a candy bar.  <br /> 7 AM , Tuesday, Mr. Mendoza arrived to make the relief cuts in the concrete.  He and his crew replaced the grass and landscape along the new drive.  They used a power blower, raked and cleaned up the area.  We were left with a most professional looking driveway. <br /> <br />"

"This job was not a typical concrete pour. In fact two other contractors had already declined the job. <br /> I had extensive damage to my front entryway due to previous major remodeling. The house was originally built by a contractor for himself. Apparently he had unlimited access to concrete. There is concrete everywhere around the house and most of it is at least 10and quot;-14and quot; thick with 1/2and quot; rebar throughout. The area around the entryway is some of the thickest. <br /> Wayne Brenner arrived to look at the job. The new walkway I wanted to add was no problem however it was obvious that he was concerned about the entryway repair. He took the time to explain why it was so difficult and what it would take to do it right, not just a repair that would look good for a winter or two. <br /> Mr. Brenner submitted his bid and I accepted it. He was very honest about what his schedule was and that it would be awhile before he could start. His wife Pam was nice enough to call occasionally to verify that we were on schedule. <br /> On the promised start date the crew of four arrived early and spent the entire day with jackhammers, saws etc. to remove the damaged concrete while maintaining the integrity of the existing rebar. The estimate was for only removing enough of the old concrete to form a good bond for the new slab. To my surprise they had completely removed all of the damaged concrete down to solid ground. Mr. Brenner told me that for quality reasons he was uncomfortable with partial removal of the old concrete. The next day the same crew built the forms, poured the concrete and finished it beautifully. The lines and contouring perfectly match the existing concrete and the surface is brushed for traction. <br /> My final surprise came when Mr. Brenner gave me a bill for the work that was $600 less than his estimate. He explained that the job did not require the heavy equipment he had anticipated so he reduced the price. He had a signed contract in his hands for an agreed upon price and he still reduced his final bill. That type of honesty is rare in business. <br /> Needless to say Brenner Concrete Construction will be my first call for any future concrete work. <br />"

"Greg Rentschler and team were great. He came out quickly to quote our job. The work Timberseal did was fantastic. They power washed all our exterior decks and siding on our house. Then they stained and sealed all our decks and dock. Finished product is wonderful. Only minor complaint was that the work was quoted to be done in mid September (on August 2nd) and the work was not completed until the last week of October. BUT, it was done in an area of Indiana where its impossible to find contractors to do work let alone good quality work. Thanks Timberseal!"

"<p>Bruce told me it would take 3-4 weeks for all the work. They started in June and finished in September. They would not show up for two weeks straight. Tommy, his right hand, was very efficient and professional. Bruce was there a total of 4 days and never came in to check the finished product. I sent him drywall issues, via cell phone, that had to be fixed. I had no idea who the did the dry wall as we had never seen them before with Tommy or Bruce. After the drywall was done, I never saw them again. Tommy fixed the drywall and mudding issues in some areas. </p> <p>We are pleased with the overall look of the room but, if you look closely, there are separations in the drywall, floor trim that is already lifting, and parts of the floor are sagging where the wall was removed.</p> <p>The area in the basement that was fixed is already cracking. </p> <p>The added French doors were the wrong style. I asked for windows and they installed solid. Then wanted to charge extra to get the doors I asked for. They never left knobs or drilled holes for hardware for the doors that they did leave on.</p> <p>The countertops were delayed because Bruce said he would have his guy do it and then never did so I contacted Home Depot myself and had them complete the countertops.</p> <p>I also purchased the floor myself and had Bruce reimburse me. The bank paid Price Point Builders for all the work and I had to call several times and wait for my part of the reimbursement. </p> <p>Bruce is very knowledgeable and friendly. I feel he may have overcommitted himself on too many jobs and then had issues with crew showing up where needed. I would hire Tommy again for projects as he was helpful and his work was always good.</p> <br />"
