"Scheduling the appointment was slow. We first contacted Leadtec at the end of August, exchanged a couple emails, and then didn't hear from them for a week, and had to re-contact them before an appointment got scheduled. On the day of the appointment, Susan was a bit late, but she called to let me know she was running behind. Once the inspection started, it went really well. "John is clearly experienced and by the end of the 3.5 hr inspection he was sweating bullets! I come to appreciate the job of a home inspector because it's so physically demanding! <br /> John produced a report that shows all the big (roof leak!) and small issues (carpet too high, prevents door from closing correctly), but what really shocked us and I will be eternally grateful for, is he got our attention on the EIFS exterior right off the beginning! We had no clue this synthetic stucco existed and that it could cause serious moisture issue for the home. He scared us and it's a very good thing. "The C ratings are explained herein. The installation was well done with the exception of the mounting of the bracket that holds the filter assembly to the wall. Improper anchors were used for a concrete basement wall. These failed over the first year or so due to the pressure that must be exerted in removed the filter housing. The company returned upon request and corrected this issue. The only other issue was that the installer upon completing the work just picked up and left without providing any explanation. After being contacted, a company representative returned and gave an explanation of operation of the system and an apology."
