The work entailed removing some wood planks that supported the previous wire shelving, patching a large hole in the drywall, and resurfacing and painting those spots. I already had the paint on hand. The incredible contractor who came over to fix things had to spend about 5X the time of the original installation to fix everything, which included reinstalling drywall before doing the actual backsplash.
