"Supervisor who was supposed to be conferring with me on landscaping had to take the first spray shift because of missing technician, and so missed the consultation appointment. Some confusion there about my appointment. But all workers have been polite and pleasant, and so far the lawn looks good.

"John was patient and listened carefully to what we wanted done. After he took out the bushes that needed to be removed, he went with us, to the Home Depot nursery, and advised us on what plants would look and grow best. He assisted us in transporting some of the bigger plants. When he was ready to do the planting, he advised us on the best positioning of the plants. When we were happy with the layout, he planted them. We bought the landscaping package on a Big Deal. For 5 hours of labor, he charged $155.00. It took two extra hours to complete the job and we paid him an extra $30.00 per hour. For a 7 hour job, we paid him a total of $215.00. It was SO worth it!!!!"

"They come every Thursday. They charge $160 a month. They normally do a pretty good at keeping everything trimmed but sometimes, like in the past month we've had a drought in this area, and I had issues with my sprinkler system so I had not used them for a while because we were out of the country. It wasn't turning on because an electrical issue. So because the grass was drying up they didn't cut it for like two weeks but they still charged us the same. This time they did cut, we now have the sprinklers partially fixed and the grass is growing now. My husband said it will best to buy a lawn mower and he will do it and we will hire someone to trim the trees. They did a great job this last time though. They do respond whenever I do call them. Sometimes they may come early sometimes it may be late afternoon."

"The team does really high quality work... when they show up. The quality, attention to detail and final product is very professional, but be prepared to wait forever and be incredibly frustrated. You will need to project manage them otherwise the work will not get done. To be fair, I have received many compliments from friends & family and any service provider that comes over, so I am very happy with the end result. My biggest complaint was the timeline, scheduling and expectation setting. It took 5 months waiting for ~12 days of on-site work. That extremely protracted timeline was only possible with lots of calls to the owner to keep things moving. Never once did I receive a return call from my many voicemails. The owner did take action on the messages, but never did he return a call. When paying a very large sum of cash (no credit cards), I expect much better customer service. So I was really not happy with how I was treated as a customer by the owner. The crew was friendly and very helpful and did excellent work, but they were often pulled to another job when they were already onsite or didn't show up when they were supposed to, etc. (There were a couple nitpicky things like one crew member having a bad habit of wiping their muddy hands on my house paint, but I expect a little of that with any construction provider. Unfortunately par for the course.) It's a tough call to recommend Hogan. I chose them because they were a single-source provider. They did take care of everything from painting, to carpentry, to procuring plants and sourcing vendors for pavers, sod, etc. They even miraculously found sod when no one could find it. All they need is a scheduler and to improve customer care with expectation-setting and this would be a top notch company that I would happily recommend to anyone!"

"She does a great job. I really rely on her. She does little jobs for me as well and if you ask her for something she will really try to help you. She has completely landscaped my home as well. They really work hard and my lawn always looks excellent."
