"The landscaping itself was fine. The negative issue was destruction of existing landscape lighting in the front beds. Above the customer signature line of the contract, the company waives all liability for damage to lighting, irrigation systems, etc. and I accepted that, with the expectation that there would be a certain standard of care. On arrival I noted to the crew, the location of the landscape lighting and the fact that I intended to reuse it. Later in the day I found it pulled apart and lying in a pile near the house. Wiring was pulled out of some of the receptacles and the main power line was severed. Subsequently, I received a quote of $750 to reinstall the lighting and purchase new fixtures for the receptacles with no wiring. I do not like leaving negative reviews, but in this case anyone doing business with Green Thumb should be aware that any ancillary items like lighting or sprinklers are at risk, even if you point it out to them."

"It was time to add some color and texture to the yard along both sides of the 120 foot long driveway and to the front of the house/entryway. We have lived here for 24 years and never did much but cut back the overgrowth and keep the existing azaleas trimmed. Needless to say it was blah. We live in a wooded area with a fair amount of shade. Chris came out, looked at it, listened to what we wanted to do which was add plants to the areas but keep it looking like a park setting in the trees. He did just that. He and his crew worked hard getting the old vegetation removed and completely transformed the area. It looks wonderful. He used about 10 different kinds of plants and a tree of differing colors and heights to create the look plus a few lights to highlight the oaks. We are very happy with the results and the price. Chris has a Master's Degree in this and his designs and thought processes really show through. We highly recommend CJ's Landscaping/Chris Swezey to anyone who needs this type of work done.
