"<p>This is the 2nd time we have used this company. The water line to the refrigerator was in the slab in the wall behind the refrigerator that we were relocating. He chiseled out the concrete and  capped the line. Then ran a new line to the refrigerator. Did a stellar job. I would highly recommend them.</p> <p><br /> </p>"

"We had a very difficult plumbing leak, under sidewalk. Daniel tried to take care of the problem, trying less expensive fix first. When that failed, he told me how much fix would be and he solved our problem with least expensive optition. He did a great job for us. Would hire again and/or recommend him."

"Professional and polite on the phone. Very Prompt on returning calls. After arriving for estimate, Lewis was able to arrange to have heater delivered and installed the same day when we thought it would be a day or so later. Without question we will use Lasiter and Lasiter again and recommend them without question. When we had problems with the city inspector showing up, Lasiter and Lasiter went out of their way to contact the city a second and I believe a third time and kept me well informed of the inspectors final arrival time. Excellent interaction and assistance from beginning to end. Ken"

"Called Layland Plumbing on Thursday and they were able to get to me first thing Friday morning. The guys who performed the work were friendly and professional. I needed to relocate an 80 gallon water heater and remove a sink. They ran into a couple of problems but were able to quickly determine the issues and resolve them. They got the water heater out of the closet and across the room, ran new water lines, and installed a floodstop unit. I was extremely happy with the job they did. Layland will be the only plumbing company I will use from this point forward and if anyone has a plumbing issue, I will recommend Layland to them. Great job!"

"Ryan came out and took a look and guessed that it wasn't really a "pool" leak, but rather that when my water level got high enough, the water backed up my conduit line for the pool light. He told me it wasn't a big deal and it could be sealed up when we next drain the pool (next spring probably have to re-surface). So, the leak stopped, and next time it rained, sure enough, it started leaking out of the conduit line, just like he had guessed. I did re-seal the conduit leak to stop the water from escaping (even though that wasn't really necessary). He charged me nothing and I will call him again, when I have a real problem!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Cleburne, TX

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
