Our basement was flooded with 6” of water while we were out of town, and because of the nature and extent of damage we decided to hire a public adjuster rather than try to navigate the insurance claim on our own. "Extremely well.  Our home was their first large (5,000 plus sq ft) custom home and Jeff and staff were attentive, professional and accommodating.  Ten years later it is still a very well built home and I will use them again without reservation.  Were there hiccups?  Of course, it is the nature of construction.  A few of the problems were not of their creation (architect), but they always found solutions without excuse.  They take the time to introduce you to any sub-contractors and I really liked all of the subs.  They do a very good job of qualifying their subs to ensure they have the skill to complete custom work.  Their on-site project management was excellent.  Pricing was fair, and when my decisions caused change orders, they explained thoroughly what would cost more and ways we could minimize the financial impact.  Most importantly, there were no surprises regarding time or cost....and that is rare <br /> We are planning some renovations in the near future, and I will work with Stapen Construction without a second thought. <br />"
