"<p>In Nov 2015, my wife and I decided to remodel and enlarge the kitchen in our home.  We found Kitchen Encounters listed on Angie's List, and decided to give them a visit.  We met both Sirinat and Pam in their showroom, and we were very pleased by their friendly and professional approach, which made us feel comfortable.  We met Cherie later, and it has been a most pleasant experience working with all of the team to get our new kitchen project finished. The end result is terrific!  Initially, Sirinat came to our home and we discussed the work I had in progress to enlarge the footprint of our kitchen.  She proceeded to help us formulate a plan to maximize space and utility by doing a CAD layout for the kitchen design.  She showed us various cabinet styles and countertops, including both granite and quartz surfaces, and prepared several cost estimates so we could have choices.  We made our selections, and she and her team proceeded to order, receive, deliver, and install.  Along the way, we were always in the communications loop, and kept informed.  I am happy to say there were no "surprises" or "glitches" along the way.  On the one time my wife and I changed our minds about the backsplash tile we had ordered, Cherie worked with us to reorder another product, and arrange for it to be delivered so scheduled installation would not be delayed.  We really appreciated that extra service.  In short, we cannot praise Kitchen Encounters enough.  They did an outstanding job for us, and we highly recommend them to anyone seeking a quality company.</p> <br />"

"Bathroom remodel consisted of removing existing fiberglass shower, bathtub, double vanity, existing flooring, mirror and lighting.   Two individual custom vanities were installed along with a cabinet for over the toilet.   Wall was added to accommodate customer shower with two shower heads.   Shower was tiled floor to ceiling and highlighted with glass tile accents and insets.   Shower floor was rock tiles.    New bathroom tile floor was put in.   Vanities were fitted with granite counter tops.   New lighting was installed in shower, above both vanities and small chandelier in middle of bathroom.    The bathroom door from the master bedroom was replaced with a barn door.    Finished product was outstanding and exceeded our expectations for both the bathroom and the kitchen.  Our contractor, Andy Perez, was a delight to work with.   He accommodated our every request for change and upgrade and was committed to delivering exactly what we wanted done to the highest standard.   He was on-site very regularly and stressed that we work everything through him and not the subs.   My wife and I would give him the highest recommendation and would not hesitate to use him in the future.    Truly a consummate professional in every sense of the word and very trustworthy with utmost integrity. <br />"

"Bennett Woodworking did an outstanding job building and installing new kitchen cabinets for my house. The cabinets he built for my kitchen are top-notch quality and beautifully crafted. He gave me several design options for my kitchen that really added to the functionality of the space, and you can tell he really knows his stuff. The painter that Mike brought in to paint the cabinets did a wonderful job as well. Mike was always friendly, professional, and trustworthy to work with. Mike's prices were very reasonable for the amount of work that he put into building and installing my cabinets. He even fixed my front door that kept sticking (free of charge!) I highly recommend Bennett Woodworking and wouldn't hesitate to use them again."

"We had used Hardwood Technology to design and build custom cabinets in a master bath remodel and asked Chris Looney to come back and take a look at replacing the complete fronts with doors on our living room bookcase and a laundry cabinet at the end of our hallway. We made the appointment and within two weeks we had our "new" cabinets. Chris had the stain matched to the existing stain on the bookcases. I was amazed how the replaced cabinet face and doors matched the wood stain that had been in the house since 1970 again attention to detail is why we are very happy with the cabinets Chris and his company build for us. We also had him custom build a laundry room closet complete with retractable shelves that I could pull out (the cabinet is as deep as the stacked washer and dryer it sits next to) so not to loose anything in the deep closet. Hardwood Technology had both projects finished within two weeks. The Hardwood Technology craftsmen are experts at what they do, they are reasonably priced and add quality to our home. We will be calling Hardwood Technology for our next project!"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Clifton, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
