"Michael Rocco / Canyon Meadows Remodel & Repair was an answer to our prayers. We live out of state, and needed some repair work done to the family house.  Thank God for Angie's List, which is how we learned about Canyon Meadows (who came highly recommended on Angie's List).  We took a few bids, but it was clear to us that Canyon Meadows was our choice.  Michael Rocco met with one of our family members in the area, and our family member was just as impressed with Michael as we were.  Michael is a true professional with an excellent knowledge of his craft, hardworking, honest, and warm and personable.  Living out-of-state, it was critical that we find someone that we could both trust and have confidence in.  <br /> Michael replaced a section of roofing, which included rebuilding a wall, as well as installed a window and french doors. Michael was very good about keeping us updated and sharing photos throughout the project, in addition to our family member also following up on the progress of the project..  This project was completed throughout the seasonal monsoon, which was one of the worst rains AZ has ever seen.  On one occasion during the heavy rains, Michael and his son went above and beyond by removing / drying out water that accumulated in the laundry room during these rains.  And, Michael did an excellent job of honoring our bottom line budget.  Michael went so far as to use a few supplies (eg, lumbar) that he had left over in his shop and provided that to us at no cost so that the full repair could be made on budget. <br /> My husband and I cannot say enough about Michael Rocco / Canyon Meadows Remodel & Repair.  Our old family house will need additional repairs down the road as we can afford it, and I promise you that we will continue to use Canyon Meadows throughout.  We were truly blessed to have found Canyon Meadows; and we have Angie's List to thank, as well. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

".We discovered a leaking pipe in the wall of our master bath. We asked to have the leak repaired, which entailed removing a 6 foot long vanity. <br /> When Ken and his assistant arrived, they laid down outdoor mats and put on shoe covers before entering the house. Ken and his assistant removed the vanity, tore out the wet drywall, cut out the section of leaking pipe and replaced it, and installed four new shut-off valves for the sinks. They did excellent work in a very timely fashion. We received excellent service at a great price. (Approx. $360.) <br />  We remodeled the bathroom ourselves, and then asked Ken to return to connect two new drain lines. (Approx. $150.) As part of this service call, he checked all the plumbing in the house, including the water heater. He also used a camera to check the plumbing lines and septic system.  <br /> We are very happy with the work that was done, and with the plumbing "check-up"! Ken is very professional, friendly, and courteous. He answered all our questions, and gave us information about some of the other services Mr. Rooter offers, which we plan to use in the future. <br /> When I called to schedule both appointments, I spoke with Deborah, who is also very professional and courteous. She was able to make the appointments quickly, and called me back right when she said she would! <br /> I highly recommend Mr. Rooter-Cochise Plumbing! <br />"

"<p>I called, promptly got a personable, knowledgeable associate who immediately provided contact information for their Tallahassee Servicer</p>  to inspect/repair, or to make a decision ( with my input ) to replace the whole unit with a new one. This primary servicer was unavailable ( "Labor Day Vacation" ) so, "Complete" ( Amy ) immediately gave the OK to use "anyone of My choice". This choice of  Servicer ( unfortunately, I had no immediate access to Angies List, so an unknown/yellow pages search ) led to a poor result the following day; removal of the microwave door, with the promise to analyze the problem(s) and determine/report repair cost to both Complete Protection and myself, per protocol. This self-chosen company ( after my persistent calls to get back to us ) offered to repair the door unprofessionally (with used/make-shift parts ). I reported this to "Complete"( about 9/6,  Associate Paul ), along with other microwave facts ( e.g., age of unit, cracking of plastic grills ) who, without hesitance, agreed to authorizing their re-imbursement of $250 toward the purchase/installation of a new microwave( covering my "out of pocket" cost completely). Amazingly ( but not amazing with this Client Centered Company ), my Complete Protection Check was received "before" the new appliance arrival! I wholeheartedly recommend Complete Protection, not only for their unique coverage paradigm( e.g., no contracts, 24 hr. live associates, use of customer recommended servicers, where applicable ) but for their personable/knowledgeable Associates, seemingly facilitating a built-in ( yet sincere ) Client- friendly model of helpfulness. A very rare find. <br />"

"A-maze-ing. These guys were GREAT - I won't be calling anyone else in the future. First, they spoke to the woman in the house exactly as they did to the man - no dumbing it down for the ladies. Physically showed me what was going on and explained it well so I understood what was needed and why. They let me know which repairs needed to be done immediately and which could wait - no hard upsell at any point. They set reasonable expectations for what improvement I could expect with each step. Polite, friendly and helpful, showed up well within the estimated window. Before each visit I got a text with the name and picture of the tech who was on their way and a phone call from them to confirm. In 5 visits I worked with only 2 point people, meaning they weren't having to start from zero every time someone walked in. They charge by the job, not the hour, meaning the work was done quickly, but with quality. I had someone I know take a look at the work and they said everything looked very well-done. After each step they followed up with me by phone to find out if I wanted/needed anything else. In short, I had a shockingly great experience with them and can't recommend them highly enough."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Cochise, AZ

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
