"After living in our home for over 20 years heavy rain coming off the roof had caused the terraced landscaping in front of the house to sink about a foot and the concrete terrace blocks were nowhere close to level. We had a landscape engineer look at it and he never got back to us. We had a concrete guy look at it and he never got back to us. Then we had Chris with Professional Contracting look at it. He said he believed he knew what to do, which was to build two parallel retaining walls. In addition the steps to our house had also sunk down nearly six inches. Chris proposed building new steps and a new sidewalk, as well as a front patio (where the bulk of the water was channeling off the roof) to direct the water away. He seemed confident and we felt like he knew what he was doing, so we hired him. He and his crew arrived when promised. Chris works very hard and implores his crew to do the same. As they were working we decided to add another small front patio and a large back patio and Chris and his crew adapted to this change without complaint or delay. If anything, the two retaining walls were overbuilt. When they were done Chris made sure the ground around the concrete work was properly sloped and they cleaned everything up. About five months later I noticed that the one retaining wall was moving, being pushed by the dirt it was supposed to be holding back. Chris came to look at it. Given that it was overbuilt, we were both very surprised that it would start to move. Chris took full responsibility. He and his crew came back and excavated the dirt from between the two walls and installed very heavy chains from the top of the one that was moving to the base of the other one, to prevent any more movement. Then they filled the dirt back in so that you could not tell they had been there again. Given our confidence in Chris at that point, while they were doing this repair we had them install another sidewalk. Chris did the repair work without any charge. Chris will tell you that he is not the cheapest, but that he will do the job right. We firmly believe that to be the case. The fact that he came and fixed the movement of the one retaining wall promptly, and at a significant investment of time by his crew, with NO charge to us, proves that he will do things right or he will fix it. It has now been two years since this work was done and everything is looking good. You can probably find someone to do concrete work for less but you will not find someone to do better quality concrete work and to guarantee the results."

"Everything went smoothly. Kevin came out quickly to do the estimate. He was very understanding as we made some changes from the original proposal to get the project in our budget and needs. This did take some time and a couple times I followed up again because I hadn't heard anything, but overall Kevin is very responsive by email, phone, or text. Once everything with the bid was squared away, the project moved really fast. The whole project was done in less than a week, and over a month before we needed it to be done for a birthday party we are hosting. The patio itself looks amazing and we have already received so many compliments. Kevin and Mike had some great ideas that I'm glad they shared because they know what they're doing and it shows. I can't say enough about how clean the crew kept the rest of our yard. I really expected the whole project would be messy but they obviously were careful to keep it clean and clean up after themselves. All the guys were friendly and respectful. I would definitely recommend this company for any decorative concrete needs you have. Their price was much more reasonable than the other bid we received."

"We had Speck poor our 24x30 garage slab and part of our driveway. The crew on the job was excellent. Always asking if we were happy with the progress so far. We added a few things on them last minute and they never seemed irritated or annoyed in the least. (Even though it was 100 degrees out) My husband was always in contact with Jeremy, and he was always quick to return phone calls if he didn't answer. My husband said he is a stand up guy! The crew was always on time and professional and cleaned up the area everyday before they left.  I would highly recommend this company to anybody! You might pay a little bit more but its completely worth it because you know you are getting people that know what they are doing and care about the finished product. "I have had absolutely horrible luck with hiring contractors in the past. I always seem to pick the person that doesn't show up for an estimate, doesn't ever get back to me with an estimate, or does shoddy work. I was ready to call quite a few different companies and get multiple estimates and "feel them out" before hiring someone for this project. The first company I called was Terrys Quality Concrete. Shannon answered the phone, sounded very professional and set up an appointment for an estimate. I was emailed a reminder about the appointment which is a small thing but impressed me nonetheless. The morning of the appointment, I was texted by Shannon telling me that he is on his way and will be here on time. Again, small detail but it impressed me. He showed up and we went over what I was wanting done. I was expecting an estimate in a week or so, but instead was told that he would write one up and have it ready for me in about 20 minutes. NICE! After about 20 minutes, he knocked on the door and had a very professional folder to hand to me. Inside was all of their insurance information, and a very nicely typed up estimate. I had no clue at all what something like this would cost, which is why I wanted to shop around a little bit. After talking to my wife, we decided that we were impressed enough that there was no need to shop around. The estimate seemed fair enough, and so far they seemed reliable. He called the next week to let us know that they would get started the following week- which is way sooner than I expected. We had a slight weather delay but that is to be expected in early spring. I was very happy with the work they did. The slab is poured exactly how I wanted, and most importantly it drains the correct way with no low spots to pool water (unlike the previous concrete work I had done) Will DEFINITELY use them again, and recommend to anyone I know needing concrete work done."

My experience with E Pride LLC was very good and I will definitely contact them again for any of my future concrete needs. I reached out to about 6 concrete contractors in the Des Moines area to get estimates. E Pride LLC was one of the few that actually answered my call and I didn't have to leave a message and hope to hear back. Gilbert at E Pride LLC was able to come out and give me an estimate within a couple days of first contacting him. Gilbert laid out the pros and cons of my options: a less expensive patch job vs. a little more expensive replacement, and gave his opinion on what he would do if it was his driveway. It didn't seem like I was getting a sales pitch on the more expensive option; just giving me the information to make a decision. Plus, the things he was saying about the different options were in line with what I'd been hearing from other contractors, so I didn't have any doubts about his integrity. The price estimate from E Pride LLC was competitive with the other estimates I got, but the biggest factor for me choosing E Pride LLC was how responsive Gilbert was with communication. Originally we scheduled the job to be done on June 18, but Gilbert contacted me on June 7 to ask if it would be possible to do the job the next day. Luckily I was available, so the job ended up getting done a week and a half ahead of schedule."

"The team came out and found that what I thought was a roof leak was actually condensation from a vent run, and said there was nothing he could do but recommended a good local contractor. I was grateful for the expertise and honesty, and did sign him up to do some other routine roof maintenance which was offered for a very reasonable price.
