"Our house is very old and only after they got started tearing off the old shake shingles they discovered there were 2 more layers of old shingles underneath. The Elsom crew was there every day before I went to work and there every day when I got home, working hard to get all those shingles off in the hot summer sun. After the roof was done, they installed a new gutter system for the house. Due to the odd layout and angles of the house, there were some challenges on how to lay some of the downspouts, however they worked with us and came up with a good design that worked well for our home. <br />"

"They arrived on time, did an excellent job in a punctual fashion and did an excellent clean-up afterward.  Re-roofing houses can be challenging especially on old houses. There is ample room to find unknown problems and an homeowner can easily be duped into costly change orders.  We found those sorts of things on both my homes but Jimmy's was fair and honest about them and didn't hold me up.  Jimmy's is not the cheapest roofer around but they do an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone. <br /> <br />"

"A man came out to clean the gutters and some debris off the roof as per the contract. He was not able to get on the roof to clean it because of some snow. He cleaned out the gutters and we had expected him to bag what he picked out of the gutters, he did not do this and we later discovered the mess on the ground we had to pick up. The gutter toppers were installed. After a heavy rain, what the man could not get off the roof came down in a corner area and blocked part of the gutter causing quite a bit of water to fall on our door step. When we called we spoke with a young woman on the phone about this issue and she said it was a common issue. There was no mention of a charge to come out. She sent out a man and he cleaned the corner gutter off. We had asked to be contacted by whom ever showed up so we could show the problem area. Well that didn't happen, they just showed up and left. We then received a bill for $130.00 for the guy to clean off the blocked area. When we called the office to inquire about the charge an older woman answered the phone was very rude. Saying that was there standard charge to come out to the home. One thing that was extremely annoying was every time we had asked to have the person representing the company contact us before they arrived at our home, no one ever did nor had the courtesy to call to let us know when they were coming. They just showed up and let and we never knew they had arrived."
