"The impetus for this job was a slow drip from the laundry tub faucet. We decided as long as we were at it we should replace the faucet (we have been unable to turn the water on or off for years due to corrosion) and the laundry tub as well as the clothes washer connections and hoses. All of these were very old and inadequate so a little preventive and deferred maintenance was in order. Our call was answered immediately by a knowledgeable person who explained the pricing policies and made an appointment for a service call that same day. Jon Scheumann showed up a few minutes early after calling to confirm his arrival. He explained options and provided an estimate and completed the work that afternoon. The plumbing work and fixtures are all top quality. Jon nicked the wall in the stairway carrying the new laundry tub down to the basement. He apologized and arranged to have a painter come patch it up at his expense. That work was done the next day and also is top quality. We will not hesitate to call American Eagle Plumbing again the next time we need a plumber."

"Sort of stuck with this company because I got on their frequent flyer program for auto withdrawal of $190 a year. ALL I ASK FOR IS TO MY SHOWER TO BE FIXED, so it works, and doesn't leak for close to the original price given, $400 ------ not hundreds and hundreds of dollars more for additional things all around the house I can't afford right now, and don't need right now, after any "I cannot touch faucet or turn valve" forty-five minute "safety check" . "I have been fixing up my 100 year old basement, repairing mortar, and painting walls and a floor. I hit a problem that I was could not fix. Over many years, water seeping in through the limestone foundation had rotted the bottom of one side of a door frame (no door), along with some base molding. Should the frame be completely rebuilt, and if so where would the renovation end? Could the frame be stabilized? I knew that I needed an experienced problem solver. I described my situation to the owner of Cady, Jim Carpenter, who said he would send me a problems solver, Tom Nightingale. Tom came up with a workable solution to stabilizing the door frame. He also completed some additional renovation of complex molding along the base of a wall. I was impressed by his creative problem solving, and the knowledge and experience and skill behind his solution."

"When I called Hal Morris (owner of the company) he came out immediately to give us an estimate. I went over what needed to be done and we talked about the kind of wood that Hal felt would be best. Hal was honest about his work schedule (can't work in the rain) and set the date that he could start. Hal worked with two other men. They worked very hard for the first day. They had to tear out the old fencing and gates and dig holes for the new posts. They had to do a little gardening as well (removing weeds) to clear a place for the new posts and fencing. When the cement was poured for the posts, Hal also let me know that they would give it at least 72 hours to set up before continuing the job. He was back when he said he would be. Hal also suggested we use a certain design for the fencing, which we did and it looks great. The new gates took a little adjustment since they were a little different than I thought they would be but I think Hal's design for them is very nice. After the job was done in a timely fashion, I called Hal to ask if he could lower the bottom of one of the gates so our grand dog wouldn't get out. I also called to report that the spring system on one of the gates did not seem to be working even though it was working fine when the job was originally finished. Hal called to say he would get there as soon as possible. Hal was working on other jobs and there was a lot of rain this Summer but he returned fairly quickly in response to the adjustments I needed. He fixed both! Hal is fairly easy to work with and has suggestions for what he thinks needs to be done and what will work best. He educated me in the various kinds of woods that could be used for the job and which would be the best for our purposes. I will be watching our fencing and our next door neighbors to see whose lasts the longest.......I think ours will. Thanks Hal"
