"Have used this service for years and recommended them to friends and colleagues. Needed Japanese maple trimmed and let David know I was off today. He immediately replied and let me know he’d try to send a crew today. At first it looked like it wouldn’t work out but then there was a cancellation and he called me to let me know the guys could be there within 30 minutes. John and Casey were at my house as planned and set to work on my tree. They were very considerate as always and asked for my input to make sure that everything was to my liking. The maple that was taking over my entrance has been tamed and looks great! The guys also took a couple of low hanging limbs off my Bradford pear tree at no additional charge. I’ll have them back in the Fall to prune and thin out this huge pear. Bruno Ferazza has pruned this tree since it first needed to be pruned. It’s gorgeous!! I won’t let anyone else touch my trees! David and his crew are the best!"

"I interacted with Adrian (co-owner), Joe (co-owner), Eric (foreman I think), and Cassidy (front desk). In the first step of contacting them after I got a flier in the mail, it was easy to get ahold of them and set up a time, no hassle. Cassidy was very charming and endearing to speak with. Then I met with Adrian about the bid and he was helpful and informative when I inquired about the health of the trees and how I could support their health (same with Eric). Joe and Eric came to actually carry out the work for the project and they were both pleasant to speak with as well. They were also easy-going, helpful, and organized with their work force. I could see they all worked hard to get the job done (and there was a lot to do). I wasn't able to engage with Joe as much, but when I spoke with Eric, he was informative, patient, and thorough in his occupational execution as well. Did a good job cleaning up too! I greatly appreciate their service, and here's another thing on my check list I can mark off and be relieved about!"

"Genesis Tree Service's team was right on time, ready to work. The fig tree in my backyard was large and unruly and it was a job to take down! The Genesis crew did an excellent job, cutting the large pieces into smaller ones so that the pieces would fit through the narrow walkway between my home and my fence line. None of the branches that were cut down fell anywhere near the structure of my home, my shed, or my neighbor's gazebo. Once the tree was down, the stump was ground down until nothing visible can be seen above ground. Additionally, they were able to remove the branches that were hanging over the fence into my neighbor's yard without leaving any branches behind in the neighbor's yard. The crew left my backyard cleaner than it has been in years! Best of all, the estimated cost for the job was the exact amount I was charged! I would definitely hire Genesis Tree Service again!"

"Jeannette came out to look at the work and give me an estimate. We walked through the yard and I pointed out a number of dead and dying tree for removal and explained how I needed the tree limbs hanging over the driveway trimmed up. I also pointed out several large bushes which needed trimming and shaping. She provided me with an estimate and gave me a $200 discount. On the day of the work the crew showed up on time. The crew chief discussed the estimate with me to insure they would be doing what was agreed upon. Miguel (crew chief) was friendly. helpful and professional. Everyone in the crew was friendly and professional. They completed the work to my satisfaction and left the yard clean."

"Although it took weeks to schedule someone to come out and give me an estimate, the actual pruning appt. was made fairly soon afterword. I am very impressed with this company. They are very knowledgeable and Cody explained what they were doing and why along the way. They were on time and cleaned up everything nicely. The trees look so much better (They have never had service), the canopies are raised and off the roof and ground, and they have been thinned out but not just chopped. Acorn is also going to prune my Crape Myrtles in the winter. I definitely recommend this company."

"I paid for the Angie's list deal of $149 for 4 man-hours. Two guys arrived; for a total of 2 hours. I showed them what needed to be done. One part involved trimming a hedge. The lead fellow told me that their hedge trimmer was broken and that they'd have someone bring another one. I had two green waste bins side-by-side for them, but knew that it would be more than could fit, particularly since the palm fronds are very bulky. I knew that hauling would be extra, so I asked how much. Hauling would be an extra $160, more than the entire job, so I declined (which is the only reason I rated "price" as B - otherwise the price was an "A"). I showed them the two green waste bins, and asked that any excess be put on a trailer so I can haul it away myself. They filled one green waste bin completely, and put the rest on the trailer. Oddly, they left the other green waste bin completely empty, even though they were literally side-by-side. Since there was more than could have fit anyway, I guess it wasn't a problem, just kind of strange. I can only speculate that they must have mistaken the other green waste bin for a trash bin. The main reason I gave an overall of "B" and quality of "B" was for the hedge. When they only had about 15 minutes left, I went out to check on their progress. Everything was done but the hedge. At that time, another guy arrived with the hedge trimmers. The lead man thanked me for my business, etc, and said they only had about 15 minutes left but that they'd "hit that hedge" and then go. After they had left, I saw that they never trimmed the hedge at all. I don't know why - why bother having someone bring them the hedge trimmer and not use it? Why say you'll do it before you leave and then not do it? There was never any explanation. They did a great job on the palms and the bamboo, though."
