"First time using this company and I want them on a regular basis. Wanted to meet the person who would be cleaning my home on a regular basis and they sent someone who only does weekends and I need them during the week. My home was cleaned very nicely and I was very happy with the job but she won't be the one doing it in a regular basis. We will try again though."

"I hired this company to do ni-weekly cleaning of my personal home. They were always on time, very professional, and did an amazing job. Great value for the services. I would and will continue to hire this company again and couldn’t recommend better cleaners!"

"I usually only use Angieslist providers.  I went to the LA County Fair and allowed myself to get on a list for contractors to contact me because I had an urgent project.  Bob was persistent in calling me and I decided to give him a try because I had a rental vacancy and wanted to redo an out-dated kitchen and convert a dining room into a second bedroom.
Bob wanted the work and gave me a good price to open the wall into the living room and build a wall between kitchen and dining room (thus creating a closet).  Initially I planned to keep the old kitchen cabinets.  After a few days Bob and I decided to remove an additional wall to open the kitchen more and to redo the cabinets.  I found Bob creative, quick and clean.  He has a lot of skills for doing the jobs and he manages his time well.  One thing that impressed me is how professionally he dresses.  I don't know how he stays clean while working, but he does.
Bob has obviously been burned by former clients and he has an aggressive attitude when he is afraid he might get taken advantage of.  I had to go belly to belly with him a few times as we negotiated prices, but I felt he was honest and cooperative, and in the end we both felt we had gotten a good deal.  I am a woman, and he was respectful of my opinions, but he enjoys a good banter.  Fortunately, I'm pretty confident about what I wanted and fairly knowledgeable, so we got along well.
His original timeline was one week.  I was impressed that even though we added extensively to the scope of work, he finished the job in about 11 days and was willing to work on Saturdays to get the work done quickly. I wasn't particularly impressed with his drywall skills (lots of gaps).  I hired another person to fill in the drywall cracks and paint because I knew the painter contractor was excellent at this kind of finishing work (The painter was Kelly Rich). We had one issue after the new tenant moved in because the granite counter was not properly sealed and it was absorbing water.  Bob went back and sealed the counter, but was initially defensive about it.  Overall, I was very satisfied with his work. This was Project 1 above.
Project 2: I had worked with a well-regarded plumber from Angieslist to repair a heater in another rental unit.  I have used this plumber a number of times for large projects and a few smaller ones, but never for a heater.  Unfortunately, this particular plumber could not deliver what I needed and did not follow through (I have used him since and he has returned to his usual high standards of service).  I asked Bob to help me get the wall heater fixed or replaced and I wanted a thermostat installed because the tenant is 80 years old and didn't need to be turning the heater on by getting down on her hands and knees.  Bob inspected the heater and determined what was needed.   He found an installer and negotiated the price for me, and then supervised the install of a brand new wall heater.  A part of me wasn't happy to pay a subcontractor and have him hanging around on my dime while someone else did the work, but in hindsight, I appreciate that he made sure the job was done right and I didn't have to be there to manage it. He fixed a problem that I'd been trying to take care of for several months in one day.
Project 3: Bob used his considerable problem solving skills and helped me figure out where to put a washer and dryer hookup for another rental unit. After looking at the back yard, kitchen and living room closet, we both decided the living room closet was the best option for a stacking unit.  Bob isn't  afraid to crawl under the house, and he did so to connect gas line, install drainage, and electrical. It took him longer than I expected considering how fast he did project one.  I think it was around  7 days.  This time I though his finishing work was up to my standards and the finished project looks great.
Project 4:  I purchase 6 security lights online, and had Bob attach them at various points around the house (the unit with the remodeled kitchen).  It was only a few screws for each light.  I liked how he worked with me to determine placement and was respectful of my opinion.
Bob is a highly responsive, professional, and talented general contractor and handyman.  If you can adjust to his defensiveness, pay him a fair wage, demonstrate your fairness and  integrity to him, you will have a great contractor. As a long time member of Angie's list, I'm pleased to be able to recommend Robert Hermance.

"I live in Vancouver, BC and the company is based in Houston, TX so a degree of trust is necessary before any order is placed. In my case the awning was sent via truck freight and a large metal-clad crate arrived, seemingly intact. Not immediately apparent when the goods were received was the fact that a fork lift had penetrated the base of the crate and crushed the canopy beyond repair. When I attempted to claim damage insurance from the shipper they sent out a damage inspector and I thought everything was on-track. To my amazement, the freight company declined responsibility for the damage and refused to pay any part of the claim. At this point James Threadgill of Classic Copper Works stepped in to offer a full replacement of the damaged item at no cost to me. I have now received the replacement item (this time sent by FedEx rather than the dodgy truck freight firm) and it is perfect. Classic Copper Works certainly did not make a profit on this transaction but they earned my respect. Thanks."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Colorado City, AZ

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
