"I contracted with O'Hara Brothers to repair my roof and could not be more pleased with the results. I had a new roof put on my house in August 2018 by Total Roofing. My wife and I thought we did our due diligence by evaluating multiple roofers, reading reviews, etc. and we thought we made a wise choice going with Total Roofing. Nothing could be further from the truth. Although Total Roofing replaced my roof shingles, they did not have the skills needed to troubleshoot and repair a long-term leak I had in my garage. Repeated attempts were made to resolve the leak but after three tries it was clear to me that Total Roofing was just not competent. After my fiasco with Total Roofing, I tried contacting other roofers/contractors to discuss this roof leak of mine. I knew this was not a regular roofing job and that some sheathing and fascia boards would need to be replaced. I think having this extra work turned off most of the roofers I spoke with as all they wanted to do was replace shingles, collect money, and move on to the next job. Enter O'Hara Brothers. When Kevin and Ryan came out to the house to discuss the job, I gave them a brief summary of the problem I was having and they immediately went to work evaluating my roof structure, going up into the attic for a thorough inspection (something Total Roofing never bothered to do), etc. After a couple of hours of looking everything over, Kevin assured me he could fix it and I signed a contract to have them do the repairs. Kevin, Ryan, and the team were unbelievable. They took the time needed to properly replace my roof sheathing and fascia boards, ensuring all cuts were precise and accurate, and assembling a smooth and sound roof surface free of any defects. They then put down top-of-the-line water/ice barrier, new drip edges, metal valleys were needed, and topped by new class 4 shingles. Kevin even went as far as to repair several "suspect" areas on other parts of the roof, fixing problems introduced by the poor installation done by Total Roofing just three months earlier. It was clear from the beginning that Kevin takes a great deal of pride in his work and this dedication was reflected by the other members of the team as well. Kevin, Ryan, and the rest of the team really went above-and-beyond in ensuring I was satisfied with the finished product, and I could not be happier. Do you want your roof replaced or do you want it repaired? If you just need it replaced, any number of roofers in the area will be glad to install new shingles for you and take your money. "The provider requested OK from Choice Warranty and he was denied. It rained last night and rain came into my home. It could have been avoided if Choice had just approved what I requested. Now, the damage will be greater than necessary. I blame Choice home warranty for my home damage. Now it will cost mote than a simple tarp could have prevented until I could get money to repair roof. The provider was great and tried his best to get something done to my roof but Choice Warranty was horrible and no help. They get a "zero" from me"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
