"Per my contract with Redrocks Roof and Solar, I am to notify them if I suspect my solar system is not producing per their design, and to begin an "underproduction claim". If underproducing, they will compensate for lost production. My system operational as of May 5, 2025, I contacted them in August 2025 informing them of above stated concern. Called 3 times without a response until finally tech came out with last second notice on 9/2/2025. Fortunately I was home, helped him find 9 out of 14 panels that were never wired in. Photos were taken/sent to Redrocks. Additionally, it was discovered a setting on the system phone app given to me to monitor system was not enabled, which they were supposed to explain in detail to me and never did. So for 4 months my system was only producing 33%, Brooke (owner) acknowledged in a live phone call on the spot. I never received parts warranty details per the contract, no response after emails and phone messages about all this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!"

"Perfectly! I've dealt with Jeff on 4 previous occasions, once for plumbing repairs to my kitchen, once for a Water Heater install, once for a slow drip leak caused by a nail puncture done when the house was built over 30 years ago, and once for sudden break in a water line in the garage. Based on the quality and fair price for the work done in the past I chose Jeff to completely replace my existing polybutylene pipe with color-coded PEX. Included in the work was replacing almost all faucets, sinks, refrigerator and shower valves and fittings, washing machine valves, and toilets. Jeff did an outstanding job replacing all the plumbing, developing new routes that allowed me to isolate sections of the house in a manner similar to having home runs. During the planning stage,Jeff listened carefully to my requirements and proposed cost-effective solutions that saved me money and gave me what I really needed. I'm getting on in years and am living on fixed income and wanted a plumbing system I could rely on and Jeff delivered that! In addition, he has a drywall specialist that works with him that does superb work being able to duplicate existing wall texturing to make all the holes they had to make for the plumbing nearly disappear. I highly recommend Jeff for any type of plumbing work. He is thorough, professional, efficient, and honest."

"Our roof suffered hail damage in June 2025 and required replacement. From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with Rampart Roofing. Ken Fristoe was our project manager, and he could not have been better. Ken inspected our roof, discussed replacement options, provided his recommendations and answered all of our questions. He was very responsive and kept us regularly and promptly informed with phone calls, texts and emails. These communications were complemented by the office staff. Materials were delivered on the day scheduled and the following business day the Rampart crew of six roofers showed up at 6:45 a.m. and worked for 10-1/2 hours straight to complete the job in one day. I've never seen a crew work so hard. They did a great job and left the job site completely clean."

FAQs for solar panel installation projects in Colorado Springs, CO

If you experience frequent power outages, want to become more energy independent, or aim to reduce your reliance on the grid, investing in a solar battery system can be worthwhile. With a solar battery, you'll have backup power day or night, even if the local grid fails. However, to power larger appliances or ensure you have energy for longer periods, you'll need to invest in multiple batteries. While the upfront cost is higher, many homeowners find the added peace of mind to be well worth the investment.

Solar battery storage capacity is measured in kilowatt-hours, which directly indicates the amount of energy the battery can store. This measurement determines how long essential appliances will continue operating during an outage. A clear understanding of capacity helps in planning the overall system size to ensure effective backup power and to maintain optimal performance even as the battery ages.

Determining the correct size for your solar battery system requires evaluating your monthly energy usage. Start by reviewing your utility bills to identify your average consumption, and then match the battery’s kilowatt-hour rating to cover essential loads. Consulting with a solar professional ensures that the system is sized to deliver continuous backup power, meeting both immediate and future energy needs.

A solar battery's lifespan ranges from five to 15 years, and its durability is affected by battery quality, charging frequency, and environmental conditions. Regular maintenance and proper usage are key to maximizing longevity. Monitoring your system, following manufacturer guidelines, and scheduling routine inspections all help ensure that your battery performs reliably throughout its service life.
