"When I first hired them 3 years ago or so, I was told by the owner that only he and his wife would be the ones cleaning and that of course changed pretty quickly to women who didnâ t speak English. Eventually the wife came back and does speak some English. They are on time and started out cleaning everything, including kitchen cabinets, wainscoting, under furniture that is raised up where a vacuum or broom would fit, on top of down the middle is what I call it, but eventually it became less and less so I asked about that and now that would be extra even though that was our original agreement. I do everything I can to make cleaning easy for them, I put everything away off the cabinets, off the floor, and so on. Iâ ve even asked them to please skip two whole rooms and instead clean my wainscoting and around my light switches and they wouldnâ t do that. It has to be their way. Little things started happening, a knob came off the shower and was set back in place to fall off in my hand when I went to use it. Knicks on the furniture and rubbing of the vacuum along the wall. I had to start putting signs on things donâ t touch this or take the time to put extra precious items away. Also whatever happened to putting things back where they found them???? Why do they move things? Canâ t they lift and dust and put it back??? There were times they didnâ t even clean up under the toilet bowl or get cobwebs on the ceiling until I brought it to their attention. I also realized they were sweeping dirt from the wood floor under the edges of the oriental carpets. I did like the gals, they were kind and made sure the alarm was set and so on, There initially was the dragging of I assume a vacuum over my stained sealed wood door jam but that seemed to stop thank heaven, I didnâ t even mention that because whenever I mentioned anything the owner Juan, he always said he would talk to the girls and they never never never had the integrity to accept responsibility for any damage. That was one reason I hired them, because they are insured and bonded but he refuses to honor that, so I fired them today. The final noose was knocking over an 18th century lamp which is irreplaceable. It can be restored for a sizeable sum but it will never hold its value now. No one was in our home, it had to be one of their staff most likely vacuuming and backing into a small round table holding the lamp. The marks on the table tell the story of exactly where it hit on the edge and the pieces breaking free left scratches. Interesting how the lamp was then set back in place like nothing happened! How convenient for them to say it wasnâ t us! I am sick of having my property damaged more and more as time goes on. . I am retired and home most all of the time but work outside on 1/3 an acre thus having a cleaning crew for only the upstairs of my home. I know exactly everything about my belonging and if something is damaged I notice it. They also kept yanking on a pull out magnifying wall mirror in my master bathroom until it was left hanging. Funny, I never had that problem for 17 years until they started cleaning. It was also obvious they were shoving it back against the white wooden frame of a larger mirror because the dark metal grooves they were causing in it that were never there proved it. I always left my mirror pulled out. Nope, not their fault! The owner did come repair it for me all the time staying his staff didnâ t do that because he asked them. Whatever happened to to telling the truth?"

FAQs for maid service projects in Colton, OR

When cleaning out an estate, identify all vital documents and possessions. Consult with family members to determine which items you want to keep. Forward mail, replace locks, and create an inventory to ensure nothing essential is overlooked. Next, create a detailed plan and timeline for sorting, donating, or discarding items. Finally, perform a thorough deep clean to prepare the property for sale or continued use.

The four-box method for decluttering involves dividing items into four categories: discard, donate, keep, and relocate. When cleaning out the estate, set up four clearly labeled boxes to sort through all belongings. This organized system reduces work later, cuts labor costs, and ensures each item is handled efficiently before any professional intervention.

You should declutter the estate before hiring a professional service to ensure an efficient estate clean-out. Remove all unwanted items and organize valuables before beginning any cleaning. Once everything is sorted and either relocated or discarded, a professional move-out cleaner can perform a thorough deep clean that enhances the property's appeal.

Estate clean-out services are priced based on the items' volume and handling requirements, not per square foot. Costs increase when there are more items to process, especially bulky ones that demand extra labor and specialized equipment. Larger properties with many possessions incur higher prices because every item is carefully evaluated and removed according to service protocols.
