"We hired Eastland Movers LLC and moved in June 2025. Relocated from Richmond, VA to Connecticut. The house was 3,600 SF with many rare antiques, oil paintings, and large heavy furniture. Two trucks, 5 experience packers and movers. They immediately stated, packed up the house in 1/12 days. Everything was meticulously wrapped, and carefully handled. The unloading went just as smooth. Not one item was damaged and no damage to the home we left or moved to. Everything was executed perfectly. There were no surprises on the estimate, what I was told and signed in the agreement was exactly what I paid. The moving crew was efficient, hard workers, very respectful of our items and polite. They were easy to work with on moving dates. The key, lock in the dates with a deposit as soon as you can. They book up very quickly. This is a high quality professional moving company that I highly recommend."

"This was by far the worst moving experience I?ve ever had. The company ignored a change in service time, dragged out the move far longer than necessary, and showed zero accountability. Several items ? including a TV, couch, and mirror ? were broken, and instead of taking responsibility, they?re trying to avoid blame. To make things worse, they left someone else?s furniture in my apartment and are attempting to charge more than the amount that was originally written and signed. What should have been a simple move turned into an exhausting nightmare that caused unnecessary stress, financial loss, and emotional strain. No one should have to go through this with a company that treats customers and their belongings with such disregard. "

"I had a really great experience with Metropolitan Moving & Storage. Kathleen answered all my questions ahead of time and I felt very well prepared for my move. The movers were very fast and professional—they were probably only in my old place for an hour and my new place for an hour too, and that was with packing. They fit their truck in the parking spot even though a car was in my permitted area. They also kindly moved an outdoor couch that was already in the new place to a different spot. The amount I paid was much less than I was quoted, I think because I'd done a good amount of work beforehand, but that was a pleasant surprise. Nothing was damaged or missing. "I used Movers USA at the beginning of this year to move my 10’ X 15’ storage unit from NE Balt. City to an apartment in Asheville, NC. Prior to my selecting this company, I checked out 6 or 7 other companies also listed on Angi, and along with Movers, seriously interviewed and went over to another company and met with them in person. I dealt with Movers’ owner Sharon Nahoom a number of times through email and in a couple of calls. In addition, I went over to his office located in the very large company storage facility in Jessup. I was impressed with this storeroom being well organized and its’ sheer size and the size and cleanliness of a truck he showed me. In addition, Sharon was friendly and overall fairly accommodating. Mr. Nahoom was the only one honest and clear with me, that as I personal had packed everything, and even though most boxes were clearly labeled, no insurance carrier would insure them as they had not been professionally packed. This honesty saved me at least $300 to $500 on needless insurance. In addition, Sharon was flexible with me on matching some terms that the other company I was serious dealing with offered—-no charge for an extra day of storing my items in the truck, extra steps to the apt, and on pick-up and delivery dates. He was also reasonable with his price—-being on the lower end of the scale from the 7-8 companies I had quotes from. The cheapest by far, was a company located in Washington state that used contracted movers—-but I didn’t want to take a chance with this The pick-up went smoothly, starting on time, and with the foreman—-Fernando, and four younger movers emptying my storage unit into their truck in a couple of hours. Two days later in Asheville, Fernando showed with a lady helper—-but no-one else. He managed to do the bulk of the moving himself up 30 steps—-as the apt was on the third floor. A number of times I had to assist him from his unloading the top couple of boxes—-as he would just carry them up on his back with a large canvas strap! If I had not helped some with some boxes would have fell to the floor. He stated he was in ‘a rush’ as he wanted to get back through the mountains down her before the forecasted storm early that afternoon. Things were rushed as fair as quick decisions by me which room specific boxes and items were put—-as we were dealing with the realities of one mover in a rush, with nice woman periodically bringing up a few more things up. Overall the move went smoothly, but I have concerns that just having one man with some extra help was “putting almost all the eggs in one basket”—-if he had gotten hurt, plus he had done all the 8 plus hour drive here, and was doing the same on the way back. Only thing broke was a worthless drinking glass that I had poorly packed. As I had about 280 boxes I wanted to open them all and see that there was no damaged items. I had taken some items to my sisters in Montgomery Co and then took down most this when I headed south a few days after the storage unit move, and given a number things to Goodwill —-so not sure about a couple of things I thought I still had. Overall I would have given this company somewhere around a “B+” grade but as there are no ‘pluses’ or ‘minuses’ that is why I gave Movers 4 stars rather than the 5."
