"We had John come out for a kitchen remodel. After months of discussing options and budget, he took measurements (Nov 2025) and told us exactly what cabinets and materials to order, instructing us to reach out once everything was purchased to get on his schedule (March 2026), with some additional discussion in January. We followed his guidance and spent over $8,000 on materials. When we reached out, it became clear there had been a miscommunication. We were under the impression we would be scheduled after purchasing everything and were completely fine waiting our turn. The situation then turned into poor communication, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. He later apologized, but by that point we no longer felt comfortable moving forward. Prior to this, everything had been going smoothly, so this was disappointing?especially after investing that amount with a baby on the way. "I feel lucky McNeal Construction was the first company to respond in Angi. There was some structural damage due to termites and Matthew of McNeal's did an excellent job of repairing the structure and designing and remodeling the bathroom. I'd like to leave photos but don't see anywhere to do that."
