The flooring we bought was slightly different from the original, but you can hardly tell that it's different. We asked him to do the patch-in the same direction as the wood grain in the original flooring. This involved a lot more cutting, but it turned out great! Luckily, it was a beautiful day, so he said he didn't mind going out to our patio to cut the pieces. And it was warm enough that day that he could just leave the sliding door open and go in and out easily as he needed! However, Marvin (the door company) took a while to finish our doors, it wasn’t Genesis’ fault. Genesis also took responsibility of a couple of errors: (1) We found out later on that the original Marvin doors we ordered do not come in custom sizes. Genesis changed the model to a higher more expensive model to accommodate the custom size without additional cost to us. (2) The hardware in one of the doors came in the different color. I came home that evening and it was installed perfectly, just the right distance from the street, level and sturdy in the ground. The landscaping around the post looked like it was barely touched.
