"From our first interaction, I was impressed with the communication. He always kept us updated and answered calls, emails and texts quickly. The team worked efficiently and showed great respect for our property. We had a 30x40 concrete pad installed and it turned out beautifully. Pricing was competitive and fair. We purchased the permits but they dealt directly with our local inspector and handled all of the inspections throughout the installation process, this gave us a piece of mind it was being done correctly. We would definitely hire again, if ever the need!!"

"This company was just as their name stated. They called to schedule an appointment immediately and were on time and very professional. A true inspector came out, not a pushy sales man and "she", which truly impressed me, was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we understood the basics. The crew was clean and very thorough. I have already recommended them to three other people. Thank you Kristen for all your help."

"Chris and his crew were excellent. The extent of Chris' knowledge was quite impressive. He made me feel like I was finally in good hands by showing and thoroughly discussing everything he found. During his inspection he checked every possible issue that could be causing the problems. He explained the repair processes necessary and showed me as he was doing them. They were courteous and cleaned up, leaving my property cleaner than when they arrived. They were very polite and more than willing to do whatever was necessary to help me complete the project as I wanted. I can not thank Chris and his team enough and would absolutely recommend their services."

"The crew showed up on the arranged date, worked non-stop within weather-constraints, and did a great job of clean-up at the end. The driveway looks terrific and we feel it was worth the price. The owner, Joe, was humble, polite and trust-worth; doing what he said he'd do."

"We had three estimates to waterproof our son's basement. Shelley's was the middle one. Mr. Shelley was willing to work with us on price to come closer to the lowest bid. They came in, on time, used a wet saw to create a straight line on the basement floor, jack hammered and dug out to below the foundation, and installed piping to the sump pump they installed in a corner. They used the old concrete, broken up, to cover the pipe, adding smaller pieces on top. They dug weep holes in the lower courses of block and ran plastic to channel seepage down to the pipe and then covered the entire area with cement. When finished the area was smooth and exactly level with the rest of the floor. Their work covered two walls, about 50 feet in length. The covered everything to prevent any dirt or dust and completely cleaned the entire room when finished. The job was begun on time, took exactly as much time as estimated, and completed when anticipated. Mr Shelley and his workers were very pleasant and easy to work with. I can't imagine a better overall experience.

"The evening before they were supposed to do the work, we got a call that they couldn't do it as scheduled. She wanted to reschedule for the following week, but we were not going to be home. She then squeezed us in for the next day. On that day, she arrived to look at the job and said the worker would be there later in the day because he was at a job a distance away. He eventually arrived at dusk and wrapped up in the dark. He did a decent job despite the circumstances. We would only recommend that scheduling be done a little more carefully. Otherwise, we were satisfied with the workmanship.

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Conestoga, PA

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
