Customers say: Quality work

"Ezequiels team has been amazing to work with. They are proactive, great quality of work and very quick to respond with any questions we had. He has been able to work around our kind of crazy schedule and get the job done in a timely manner. His rates where very fair and even as the project went on and we added stuff onto it that hadn’t been originally discussed he was happy to help. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for remodel work."

"Oscar was referred to us by a friend and we couldn't be more thankful for it. He is very professional and he knows what looks good. We explained to him what we wanted and he helped us make the right choices for our guest bathroom remodeling. We are extremely happy with the final results ! We highly recommend him and will definitely use him again on our next project."

"The pro was nice but the job I'm sorry was sloppy you can see the ceiling was the only problem the walls were in perfect condition but he got putty all over two wall so now I have to paint not only the white ceiling which was my choice to do but now I have to paint the colored wall which is just unacceptable and should not have ever happened paint tape could have been put over the wall or a putty knife could have been used when working on the ceiling the wall could have been protected I have to lay in my room and look at that and now buy paint to match that paint to touch up the wall that was in perfect condition. ?"

"The team assigned, although only one worker and one supervisor, did an excellent job managing the installation of used, but like new, carpet in two bedrooms. They checked that we were happy with the install and cleaned up after themselves."

"These guys did a great job. The tiles in my kitchen had popped up, but I had 18 extra tiles to use. The tile guys were able to save all the unbroken tiles so I still have 15 of my extra tiles left for the next time. They did a great job."

FAQs for tile: ceramic and porcelain repair projects in Conroe, TX

People use the terms refinishing, resurfacing, and reglazing interchangeably. Refinishing is a process that repairs old tiles and gives them a fresh new coat of finish. This is also called tile resurfacing or reglazing.

Yes, you can refinish tiles as a DIY project, but it’s important to follow all the steps involved. These include the following:

  1. Clean the tiles or hire a local tile cleaning service to remove all the residue (soap film, oil, grease, and dirt).

  2. Etch the tile to ensure the refinishing solution adheres properly.

  3. Fill in any cracks or chips in the tile.

  4. Recoat the grout.

  5. Repair any missing or damaged caulking where applicable.

  6. Apply the refinishing product, primer, and enamel.

Your newly reglazed tile should last between 10 and 15 years with proper installation. However, higher-traffic areas and moisture may result in a reduced life span. Explore the cost of different tile types to determine which material works best for your home and needs.

Your bathtub and tile refinishing cost will likely seem like a small price to pay for the transformation it offers. Provided your tile and grout are both intact, refinishing will bring a brand-new style at a fraction of the cost.

Yes, most ceramic tile is paintable with specific epoxy or tile paints. However, you’ll want to avoid areas of heavy use or moisture, such as countertops, showers, and bathtubs. Paint can crack, bubble, or wear away over time, especially on floors.
